Thank you Jim and Charlie. Thankfully we did not have any luck antiquing. My wife appreciated my effort and willingness in trying. Whew. Dodged that bullet.

That is some seriously gorgeous hardware. You sir have an excellent collection of razors and brushes.

    Wow Amigo. Just Wow.

Wonderful lineup and photo Brian. I looked for the St John's Bay Rum when we were on the cruise this summer. Unfortunately, I only found the Lime cologne version.

Thank you. Jason. Dillard is a small North Georgia mountain town on our way to North Carolina. The town is known for the Dillard house service a family style meal and antique stores lining both sides of the street. It is perfectly situated for folks from the city on the way to the mountains.

Thank you, Clint. I always look forward to using bay rum. Fortunately I've accumulated a few to use next month.

I was getting this too. Mine was due to not getting all the soap rinsed out of the folds in my neck. Just one more thing to check.

No I have not. I strongly considered the Lime when I ordered the Cypress & Vetyver. I will likely order it next.

If you are ever ordering anything from Connaught Shaving (they're the only place to buy Gem PTFE SE blades in bulk for one thing), I noticed they offer 10ml samplers of these new Proraso creams.

    SEptember 22 shave

First pass Gem mmoc with cvs blade
    Second pass Craftsman 9207
    Henry cavendish pure badger
Mountain rain by Jeeves of Hudson Street
    Myrsol emulsion

I’m really enjoying the results of my shaves this month using the mmoc for a pass followed by a straight for the second pass. I have had some very close and extremely satisfying shaves, with no need for a third pass and hardly any touch ups.

A rare evening shave for me tonight. Smooth and steady with the E3. The Soap Commander holds its own in this month of excellent Stirling Soaps. Finished with the Spice balm and some P&G Old Spice. As Andrew has pointed out, they compliment each other.
Only a week of SEpt left...I think I’ll pull out the GEM Jr next.
    Have a great night all!

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

It's nearly 2 a.m. but there will be no time warp necessary tonight. I'm off work tomorrow on a personal day so decided tonight could be a no-shave night to get me out on the mean streets a bit sooner. So - nothing to tell other than I hope you had a great Saturday! Jennifer and I are going to go for a picnic at the State Park tomorrow then I'll do some GrubHub in the late afternoon/early evening. Looking forward to a day away from retail. Have a great Sunday!
