I just wish the "teenagers" who were my bandmates were decent. Many times, I felt like quitting because I felt out of touch with them.

The straight focus continues to pay off and the Bismarck continues to performsuperbly. The light touch is making a BBS with no irritation the likely result of each shave. The neck is a DFS, but getting closer. May have to resort on alum on the fingers for skin stretching soon.

I also went for the first use of the mixed badger/boar SOC brush. Nice density and soft feel to this brush while still providing nice backbone. There is a bit of scritch, but you would expect that on the first use with boar hairs that have not been broken in, and I suspect it will go away over time. Assuming it does, I think this brush may compete nicely with two band sivertips that goes for 3 or 4 times the price. Time will tell.

Continued strong progress with the straight razor, Randy. I use alum on my fingertips, and I think it notches up the quality of the shave.

That's a pretty E3, Jason, and your photos always have a nice warmth about them. I passed on an E3 (it looked like yours, but it could have been a different model) in the wild once and have since second-guessed myself. Maybe one day I'll try one. I'm glad to hear you like the Soap Commander. I've got a nearly full tub of Soap Commander Love, and that's the next one on the list to use up.

You're on a roll, James! After your master the GEM and the Micromatic, I predict that Kung Fu will kick in and excellent shaves from most any razor will become automatic. Early on, I tried a few cold water shaves, and it seemed to reduce my irritation. I've since grown fond of using a brush scuttle to keep my lather warm.

Right Charlie- a lot of being a member was fun..feetball games, concerts, parades. It was tough to survive the bad stuff, though.

Great report and photo as usual Joesph. I don't have the soap but I do have the Krampert's AS. The healing properties and post shave feel are fantastic. The scent seems to disappear very quickly for me.

Congrats on the great results Perry. I really don't see how you handle all the teenage drama.

Wonderful shave and report James. Sounds like you just might be a SE guy.

Two pass DFS, no need to test with alum. The vintage American-made Schick blade is still going strong. Osage Rub for a bracing finish to help keep me awake.

Love the brush Brian. What does the Drunken Goat soap smell like?

Congrats on the progress Randy. I am not sure the SOC will ever get silvertip soft but mine is as soft as most of my badger brushes already. I look forward to seeing how your brush breaks in.

Now that Mom is older, I try to go down one day each weekends. My two nephews are close to her as well. One comes over each Monday and the other each, Thursday. On the weekends I make sure her finances are in order and take care of any errands that need to be done. Today we were going over the results of harvesting some of the timber on the farm.

Do you think if I sent Clint a bottle of Grey Goose, my address, and a big homemade poster that says Patek Philippe, maybe I’ll get a nice surprise in the mail?

My SOC boar is pretty darn soft, but this brush is much more dense. I find plain old silvertip too soft for my liking, but a two band is just right for me. It’ll be interesting how this one breaks in and compares, but so far one shave and I am definitely liking it.

Asha and Maya have us tapped out now. One in grad school and one and college certainly impacted the finances at home.

I am 22 shaves in with mine and it has improved so much already. I really like mine and can say it will be staying here in the den.
