Wow. I can't believe it is Monday already. Up for the week is the OREN or (Oscam's Razor Enhanced Nano). I fully admit this razor has at best what could be described as unique looks. I think it looks like a cross between a OneBalde and Cobra Classic. Looks aside, this is my best shaving artist club razor. Two passes and touch ups ended in an effortless BBS. A splash of Myrsol Balsamica and I am off to fight traffic. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Sweet set up, Clint. OK, now I remember the O.R.E.N. I will follow your run with this razor with renewed interest since it uses the Feather SE blades. Have a great week. My Bride and I are off to see our kiddos shortly.

Nice and comfortable shave with 'The Beast' MMOC. This razor is far easier to use than I recall from a couple of years ago. It can certainly bite you but with proper pressure and angle it's just fine. Loved the cold blast from the Glacial products. All came together quite well to kick off a Monday morning.

    Have a great day!

Pulled out the GEM Jr today to keep the focus going. Also, grabbed the SDM, which I probably haven’t touched in over a year and a half. The few times I used it, it burned quite badly on me. Thought ‘What the heck’ and gave it another go. Yup, got a tingle still. Not as bad as I remembered, though. Love the scent and I might have to look for another quality GIT clone.
Anyway, the tingle wasn’t the worst part of the shave. Loaded up a new GEM blade, did one cheek, was trying to do under my nose and SLICE, a nice piece of my nostril somehow disappeared. Apparently noses bleed quite profusely as well. Completly idiotic, careless, newbie-like operator error.
Ended up with a very smooth shave after 3 passes, but the steady gusher tempered my mood. The styptic needed two painful applications to stem the tide but I finally got it to stop. Oh well, at least I smell nice.
    Have a great day all!

I was working with three days of growth today, so I decided to take a page from Neal's book and go with the Schick E-series. In my case, this is an E2 with a Proline B blade. A number of people consider this an aggressive razor, particular with this blade. Me, I just find it very efficient... which is what it was today.

Today, for me, is a day of quiet remembrance. Those of you who routinely read my ramblings have probably seen various references to my first wife's family and the importance they have had in my life. Today is the anniversary of my marriage to the former Mary Ellen Byrnes. Had she lived, today would have been our 29th anniversary. As it was, she died 17 months after our wedding from complications of an undiagnosed genetic disorder. I don't talk a lot about her these days, for various reasons, but I wanted to share a photo for our anniversary...

That's a 28-yard old me with still dark hair and a mustache that I never did keep well. :)

I've been very blessed in this life to have found not one, but two wonderful women. My current wife, Sherri, and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary this past May. I am also blessed to be part of a community who tolerates and understands if I get a bit maudlin and go off topic.

Ouch! Glad you got the bleeding to stop and had a great shave otherwise, Jason!
Thank you for sharing your memories, John. And congratulations on your 22nd anniversary with Sherri!
