    Focus Gear...is there focus gear?

Chilly morning and the Jabonman called. This is one of my favorite vetiver soaps and I will miss it when it's gone.
Both my wife and I are battling sinus infections. Unfortunately my wife's eardrum ruptured Monday, so she's
dealing with considerable pain. Mine isn't as bad, but the 24/7 headache is starting to take its toll.

I again went with my Ranger Tech/Personna 74
    BBS in 3
Couldn't bring myself to spray the Tom Ford, so I splashed on some witch hazel and finished with Myrsol Emulsion.

    Thanks Jason!
Thanks Gary, just got to remember that it will get better.
I'm going to have to send you a couple of brushes to evaluate I think. I cant tolerate a floppy brush, I'm a backbone snob. For this reason I prefer Finest knots. I also recently got a Epsilon horse hair that is a 26mm knot with 50/50 main/tail ratio that has backbone in spades. Also big badger knots can be lather hogs and seem to want to eat their share of your lather, to overcome this you either need to load enough product to give the brush what it wants and make enough lather for you or constant squeeze the lather out of the knot.

Jason's non - 30DC cypress handle with Maggards 24mm two - band badger knot
My Red Green Duct Tape Special frankensoap (melange of soft Italian almond soaps)
    Lucky Tiger

I was in the mood for a simple comfortable shave today, so I went with reliably easy gear. The almond croap always loads and lathers perfectly and this brush is the perfect mix of badger pillow and backbone. The razor gave me an error-free DFS with 1 1/2 passes - the second lathered pass just along my jawline. Then a palmful of Lucky Tiger for a nice smelling and feeling finish.

I realized I meant to bin the blade after my last shave with it but forgot, so I dumped it today.

:). Well, that happened with the Local Gent purchase, but as of Sunday, there's no turning back for this horse. But I think the Maggard purchase(s)should set me up well for the rest of the year and into next year. (Course I'll be doing more purchases in 2019,but now I won't feel the need to go nuts.)

Pete - That soap has an attractive label I don't recognize. Who makes it?

So that's what "sleep like a baby" is all about, and you caught a double dose?

One day I'll have the spare coin to purchase a high end badger. I might already have several but don't know it yet. Before you box up and risk your brush in the postal system I'll put my boars up and concentrate on developing my technique. A Focus!

I know the two Vulfix knots are less than dense and too high lofted. The VS black badger knot in the cashew shaped SP→2 is dense and short lofted. So is the WD HMB in the B-400. I haven't spent time with the other new badger from Steve in the T-400 handle.

So making sure I load enough product will be easy. I'm all about decadent lather and not concerned with rinsing some down the drain. Plenty of soaps I know can deliver using a boar. Just gotta figure out how to get badgers to work for me.

Joseph, I'm sorry you and your Bride are not feeling well. A ruptured ear drum sounds serious. Take care of yourselves.

Great setup today! I enjoy using Jabonman soaps as well.
