A blade is a blade is a blade. In truth I have only found one or two blade brands that were unusable.

For @Terry . Here is a pic of the set I was talking about. It is in a thread across the street at TOST. On the shipper (which I can not find right this second) it says Model G3. Most I see on ebay I find by searching for "Gem razor". http://theoriginalsafety2.com/thread/2244/travel-set

Frugal Friday Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Vulfix 404 Badger/Boar Soap: WS Shave Stick Razor: E-R 1912 USA Blade: Pal Super CS Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Tuff Red ASL A great way to end the week. The tallow and lanolin WS shave stick is streets ahead of the unworkable (for me) blue bowl. Happy Shaving one and all.
Fuzzy. Unfortunately not. I'm actually passing this razor on as I only bought it to get the case for my Sun Ray:
Friday's Shave Cold Water Wash LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #319 Bunny V3 Injector Schick Proline B20 Blade CWR Mennen Skin Bracer Yesterday, @Redfisher came up for a visit and brought some honing tools. He helped me put a better edge on my Acme 5/8 razor. This morning, I gave it the cheek test. After lathering up, I did my right cheek. I am happy to report that his/our efforts were successful. Not only is it sharp, it is smooth, too. I will put it back into my straights rotation. I am looking forward to shaving with it again. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Fri 28th Sept RazoRock Syn. 24mm P &B Pall Mall Er 1912- ex Bathroom Set Gem S/S ( 1 ) Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion This has to be my favourite British 1912, as it seems to have had little use it Shaves very smoothly and efficiently. With a good lather I was able to attain an ultra close finish, probably as good as any others in this rotation.
Sat 29th Sept Omega 11137 boar L`Occitane Cade Cream Ever Ready Ambassador Set Gem S/S [ 2 ] Puig Quorum A/S Lotion Was good yesterday with the 1912, but I just enjoy the weight of this one more. With this cream one hardly feels the Razor, especially as I have probably overdone the amount of cream a bit. The Shave was extremely smooth and seemed over in next to no time, as whisker eradication is so efficient. Am beginning to wonder why there is such a fuss about the Modern S/S SE Razors, when these oldies Shave so well. Will be interested to see how my modified ATT SE-G shapes up on its return.
Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Simpson Duke 3 Soap: The Sudsy Soapery Uplift Razor: Cobra Classic Blade: Schick Proline P Post: Warm then cold water rinse, 4711 ASL After yesterday's very enjoyable frugal shave I thought I'd choose some favourites: The Cobra 4711 and: The Uplift soap is only in its second use but it deserves it position. The veggie base was already high up in my estimation and now the tallow, skin care extraordinaire. Why aren't more people using their soaps? The Duke 3 is new to me (cheers @ajc347) and it may well become a favourite.
