My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. I did two passes with the Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 Straight Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Stirling Sandpiper today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave.

First use of a Mk2 OC head, the Schone nickel. I was not expecting s radical difference from the Mk1 but for me this was exponentially smoother, but superbly efficient. Chinese Wilkinson. Handle is fine for me.

Firing on all cylinders. Perfect brush, excellent soap, great lather. (Maybe a touch drying, could also be a little too much sun). I used the Rockwell on 5, seemed efficient and mild. Finished with WW. I'm very happy with the scent, it encompasses the things i like about leathery scents, but isn't butch. Like a well worn leather jacket after wearing a nice warm cologne, not a new off the rack jacket in need of break in. I find it nice.

SOTN 29/SEP/2018

The maiden shave for Jayaruh #215 - it was superb. I spent three days breaking the boar before this first shave:

The brush worked its magic - look at the pics. The soap is ACES - that very special smell you only get after a summer thunderstorm, captured beautifully. 2-pass BBS.
