    I have no dog in this fight. Carry on!

    Brian - have you finished unpacking yet? I remember that megahaul so I'm guessing you own a couple OCs.

    They are going easy on you. You're only getting the "a picture is worth 1000 words" treatment. No one has yet mentioned how the ceracoat finish gives the cap an ultra smooth finish that makes every soap extra slippery.

    And please don't anybody tease the poor guy by even dropping a hint about the way the Cerakote permanently lubricates all the bearing surfaces so the operating mechanisms work with a buttery slick action better than what they had when brand new... Seriously, the TTO knobs glide open and closed and the adjustment dials turn like they're on ball bearings... ;)

    OCtober Focus - one variable at a time

    Godrej Shaving Round soap
    The King badger brush

    Fatip Piccolo 3pc OC DE
    SOTD 10012018 1st use Godrej soap.gif Trying out a new to me soap this shave. All other products are known quantities. That's the way a Focus is supposed to work. I'm already thinking about NOVember's set up. For those that don't know the next theme is No Variation, or doing a Rule for the month. So I popped the top of this six ingredient soap from India (via Hong Kong from Steve @Vlasta) and sniffed. Very light scent (maybe lavender) that doesn't get much louder when lathered. Wet the 33mm brush knot and choked up on the bristles to load. It's a hard puck which may project long life so a little blooming softened the surface for the second attempt. With enough in the bristles, dipped the tips and face lathered for great success. Now I'm curious what a synth & bowl would do! The Fatip had an unmarked blade installed and my assumption is Kai. Reassembled and checked for a centered blade. Isn't this one that may get out of kilter? Three passes, relathering without reloading, no errors, and DFS! The soap is slick. One of it's ingredients is glycerin and I've found my face likes that. After I rinsed up me and the gear I chose to forego post shave products. I'd like to see how I feel about the soap without added effects.

    I was thinking that this might be a huge benefit over the brass!

    I would be sending an OCMM... They can't dismantle those, so I guess the effect wouldn't be as noticeable - what with you not being able to dismantle them and then reassemble them!
