  3. We having the animal conversation again, kid?

    Yeah, I went there.
  4. Ugh. I think the sleet we got last night may have done something to screw with the cable lines. My internet is pretty slow today and keeps conking out.

    Haven't gotten to those yet.

For some people, JoAnna, it is too much to ask.

May those people get their just desserts.
  5. Kid? I have pointy SHOES that are older than you...
  6. nice
  7. Thanks guys. Y'all make me laugh.

And you know what they say about laughter. "Laughter is the best drug.", or something like that. ;)
  8. Come on now... I've told you over and over that elf shoes are NOT in fashion in the real world.

You can't have manslaughter without laughter. Truth.
  9. I just got home from the funeral. Dying sucks, but WTF can you do? A couple old buddies wanted me to go get bombed with them, and then got pissed when I said I gave up the booze! I mean, here I was trying to pay respects to a dear friend, and all these a&*^oles could think about was where they could get the next buzz at. So, now my hands hurt, my lip is a bit swollen still, and one dumbass is making an appointment to get some new teeth.

    On a happier note................

I cannot remember the last drink I had, which is such a wonderful feeling.
  10. yay rolls! sorry about your hand but I'm sure the other guy has it worse :happy102
  11. Now THAT is good stuff..

    Fuzzy
  12. Glad you're still on the wagon and enjoying it, Rolls. :p

Sorry you had to deal with those events today. I see you can still type, though. Good on you.
  13. Gah I'm going insane, I forgot my chap stick today :(
  14. good catch again...

    yup
you're solid as an oak, my friend, an oak, I'm proud of your commitment....
    Rolls, Rolls, Rolls....
  15. Sorry to hear you had to deal with that, Rolls.
  16. Sorry Rolls. Stay strong.
  17. Thanks guys. And yes, I can type fine. I hunt and peck anyway. My poor knuckles are swollen, and will really be stiff by the morning, but it was worth it. Nothing chaps my A@^ like a disrespectful drunk.

    JoAnna, thanks for the edit.........

So, is it true that Linux is the most secure OS out there?
  18. He posts once in the last 24 hours and he complains.

    Hi everybody.
  19. If you ask me, it depends. There are viruses and trojans out there for Linux these days. While there are far fewer than the viruses for Windows, it all comes down to the user, in my mind.

Knowledge on the user's part about computer security is the most important thing, in my mind. You can have the most secure computer ever with the most up to date firewall and antivirus software, but you're still vulnerable to exploit if you don't know what you're dealing with.

But yes... Linux is less vulnerable than Windows and Mac OS, which I think is related to the fact that it is used by less people.
  20. Sorry Rolls, Hope thinks look up for you soon.

I think what they say about linux is true, are you looking to run some version of linux?
