one of my new lc has a ball end handle. the newer (mid 30s)ones in a case called the red and black set had the common bar handles . also had 3 pat # on the plate.some handles don t work on the ball end handled base plate due to a smaller indent/contact point.

I'm trying to calculate in my head how far I could go. Being that I shave daily and if I start on New Year's Day, I'm guessing I could make it to January 7th.

Thank you John. I really like the APS Flat Top knot. The handle you bought from them looks fantastic.

Wonderful shave report John. My Delta Echo New SC has a thin common bar handle. I wish it were regular common bar handle.

I've recently seen an article that said the generation of mattress buyers who will walk into a store at all are dying off. Millennials are used to buying everything online and are ordering the mattress in a box thing. Same reason all the local mom and pop places are folding under the boot of Amazon. I'm as guilty as anyone of ordering online, but I try to limit it to those things I can't find locally.

I don't think I could even buy something like a mattress online. if I'm making a big purchase I have to be able to see and feel before I buy. one thing I wont go elcheapo on for sure is where I sleep every night. hmmmm might be why I don't want to get out of bed lol!

Young people today seem to have a different mindset. The fewer people they have to deal with the better they like it. That's why they even have things like Carvana, where you buy a car online and they deliver it right to your driveway. Just slip the invoice under the door and they'll sign it and slide it back. Lol.

Nope not for me either granted some people I wish I didn't have to deal with but I still wouldnt want to cut out the interaction. I see other kids with cell phones that are 8 years old (My daughters age) and she wants one. first answer no lol. But I do see both sides for it I just don't want her to become like the rest of the world yet and always on it.

Might not be"correct" but Rhodium can be a very striking razor plating. It's as bright as silver but doesn't tarnish and is much harder and more durable than silverplating. And since silverplate is perfectly "correct" for a vintage Gillette (witness my newly polished Single Ring and Ball End Old Type), rhodium isn't that far off the mark either in appearance. Certainly not in a world that now contains Cerakoted Gillettes and Gems...
