Today's shave was with an English Razor. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Just a fantastic razor. Razor- "Witness", by Taylor. Extra Hollow Ground. Sheffield England. Brush- Wilkinson Sword Boar. Soap- Arko/Sandalwood Scented Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Triple Crown Decanter.
If your talking finishing stones, i used Welsh Slate Stones, and finally the Arkansas Surgical Black. I don't own other real finishing stones, and these are what i learned on. So I think I've pretty much figured these stones out. "Dance with the one who brung ya".
I love the smooth Finish that A.J.'s 15K Welsh Slate puts on and edge . I find that some Sheffield blades can not handle a Surgical Black edge .

Shave #17 on the Filly 14 edge longevity test, still shaving great - stropping only. Cream was Floris 89 lathered with a Tulip 3 2-band, topped with a little Thayer’s Rose Petal and later, a little Floris 89 EdT. Very nice combination on a cool, damp Sunday morning. Cheers, Steve
