My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #305 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Damaskeene OC Safety Razor with a GEM Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Ascension Twist has been on a tear across the forums so, no need to wax poetic on it. It delivers. The shave was awesome but, the players that brought it were the Wickham Russian Leather & John Varvatos Dark Rebel. Semi-sweet oil tanned leather with a Rum booziness mixed in. As manly as it gets as Men bow in respect and the Women shake at the knees. Not for the faint of heart. If you’re a Rum & Leather man, look no further Gents......

Thank you Herm. This one is a keeper for sure.

 

Next up on our OC journey is the Cooper Monobilt. It's another very mild razor that's a bit tricky to load and seat the blade properly because of its flip-top design. Still a very nice shave.
