Sunday OCtober 14 - from OC OCtober to OC OCtober...

PAL Injectomatic / vintage PAL Stainless (2)
Semogue Owners Club cherrywood Tuxedo brush
    Hendrix Classics Barbershop soap
Alum and Hendrix Classics Barbershop balm test sample

I have now switched from Open Comb OCtober to Other Crewmembers' equipment OCtober. The Injectomatic was kindly loaned to me by Jason @jtspartan. I paired it today with a different brush, choosing the Semogue that Jason reknotted for me earlier. I stayed with the same soap and balm I have used all month while trying out new razors.

It was a fine shave today - two passes to what I consider a BBS with no errors reported by Mr. Alum. My sense is that the Injectomatic is as aggressive as the most aggressive Schick and could bite hard if not watched carefully, but when treated with care, it really cleans off the whiskers.

I plan to use the Injectomatic either until this blade wears out or until the end of the month, whichever comes first, and then return it with thanks. I had never seen one before so it has been a real treat getting to try it out.

Glad you like your new brush, but you're going to be chortling over that bet for months, aren't you, Neal...

I haven't had a chance to take my own pictures, but these are from various stages of the pass-around that it came from:

It was described as missing the gold wash and being almost totally bare brass. Personally, I'm not sure about that, especially since the cap is not the red brass that I would expect.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm hoping to find a Tuckaway case for it. (I have a line on a silver one.)

Long day yesterday, but the kids did an incredible job! Terrific performance - best of the year so far. Really proud. Our lowest score was a 93 and the highest was a 96, which is great. The hosts didn't provide a recap sheet yet so I don't know how we stacked up against the other bands, but I would think we were the highest scoring group of the day.

Regardless, the students stepped it up and did a terrific job. That was our last contest of the season so I can breathe a little easier now. We back off the intensity and duration of our practices and relax some as the football games finish out. That's a nice feeling!

Thank you for the support, everyone!

Thank you John. I am rotating through my 3 MdC soaps for my Sunday shaves. It’s not the best soap in anyone area but I always seem to get fantastic shaves each time I use MdC.

I suppose I'll see how I go! I would be looking for a razor that worked well with the Personna injector blades (the Supply was designed to take them) - purely because it is extremely expensive to get hold of the Chinese Schick blades here in the UK (and the Personna blades do a damn fine job as far as I can tell)!
