One more day with this beautiful loaned Aristocrat before I get back on focus for a few shaves. Got a nice lather and went for a full 3 pass shave. I did get myself beside the Adam’s apple, and have one minor rough spot on my lower neck, but am basically smooth.
Back to an OT for a few days before trying another one of @Screwtape ’s loaners.
    Have a great day all!

  5. Thanks, Jason. I've been using it every morning since I got it. Getting pretty spoiled by the warm lather.

  10. Survey Update-Well, not much different than my previous one. Duffnuts still in front by 6 over Old School Gillettte, with Vintage Aristocrat third. Pain Sticks and "The Cookie Questioner" nose to nose for last.

  11. That's a pretty nice collection to start with!
  12. I refuse to load off of anything smaller then a 3.5" container. If a soap comes in a smaller container then that I will rehome it into a 4" tin. Thankfully most artisans have caught on to needing plenty of room to load bigger brushes.
    Beautiful razor, Keith!
Excellent photo, Perry! That brush looks fantastic!
Amazing shot, Jim! I too use a scuttle almost every shave, but its a plain white CK scuttle so it doesn't get featured in too many photos.
    Fantastic shot, Jim!
Now I have scale envy! Beautiful razor, Randy!
    Amazing photo, Jason!
    Beautiful setup, Brian!

  14. I'm getting there. I have moved a lot of smaller samples into full sized tubs to make them possible to load. My main brush is my 30DC LE that Jason made with a 29mm Omega Pro Boar knot set at almost 60mm loft. Even 4 inch containers that are close to full are a pain to load with that beast. I have a few smaller boar knots, and two nice badgers I use in the smaller containers, but I have killed off enough soaps now that I have bigger containers to move them too. It makes things easier.

  15. Well, I didn't get a shave in this morning. I have three more OC razors I am going to try and use this month, not counting the wedge style razors that I need to make some strops for. I did have an apt with the dermatologist today. Apparently my skin care with the shaving stuff has really improved the skin issues I was having on my face. He said keep doing what I am doing, and maybe run some of the products on the rest of my face too.

It sure is Monday at work. Found out the division of the company I work for was sold to another company, and there will be lots of changes with that in the next few months. Fifth company name since I was hired 15 years ago. Lots of fun stuff. Update on the remodel. Looking at mid-January (or 13 months since the contract was signed) for our "four to six month" project. Have paint on the interior walls, grass in the yard, and some doors and trim installed. Next step is to blow out the kitchen and get that piece done. Really hoping we can have it done in time for company around Christmas. Hope everyone has a great week.

  17. Thanks, guys!
Jason - Waves is B&Ms next reserve release. I got a free sample when I ordered Hallows.
  18. SOTD OCtober 15th
    [IMG]

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Gillette New Improved
    Generic Israeli Personna (3)
Yaqi Red Marble (28mm, Destroyer Class)
    Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood
Baxter Of California Shave Tonic and ASB

Half way though OCtober and still plenty of OC razors to use! Today's razor was the Gillette New Improved. If I were asked what the most aggressive Gillette razor was, this would be my answer. To me its a step up from the Old Type and handily beats a wide open adjustable. Fantastic lather from the Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood, which I'll probably only have one more shave with. Finished off with the Baxter due for a nice dose of menthol.

Since I was home with Logan Thursday and Friday I didn't get a chance to shave or post a TGIF pic, so here is one to make up for that. Hopefully it will make your Monday go by a little faster!
