  5. A while back I got this @Jayaruh #112 handle from @Enrico and after deciding what kind of knot to install, I went with this 27mm boar knot. Just had to wait a bit from China for three of them, but worth it. I wanted to use one as large as possible and I had to enlarge the opening some as it was made for a 24mm knot. I also removed about 1.5mm from the bottom of the knot's resin to seat it where I wanted it to be without making the opening deeper. The handle is Purple Heart and from enlarging the opening, it seems pretty hard. This knot is very dense and when it breaks in, it should be a pretty good one as my first lather showed.

  7. Thanks, @Jayaruh makes some nice handles and this is a good looking barbershop type one. It's big and meaty and I think this knot gives it that old vintage look to it.

  9. It really does. I did some lathering and soaking in hair conditioner and it's softening up nicely.
  10. Great looking brush!

  13. Tomorrow's shave will feature my newly-arrived JR320 going for its first outing. The handle is mahogany, the knot is a 28mm SynBad from APShaveCo. The razor is a Gillette NEW Long Comb that was fitted some time in the past with a handle from a Durham razor. The soap and balm are made by our own @Pete123; good stuff - I bought the tub after trying a sample. It's going to be a great shave.

  17. Great looking brush, Andrew. Jim does great work. I am interested to know what kind of knot you have in it? It sure matches the handle well.

  18. I think it is a TGN 3 band synthetic. Maybe Jim @Jayaruh can look in his records
  19. @Jayaruh is not only a great brush maker - but he makes GREAT lather catcher handles! this handle looks like a vintage one (I don't know what razor it came with - but I seen it on eBay and it looks like this) Fit with the GEM JR Bar I got a amazing shave! The handle went great with my Semogue SOC Mistura!

  20. Lately, I have been making boxes for razors that don't have one. (I did not realize I had made so many. More to come.)
