If, after all the stupid things I've said and done here, I were to be immortalized for the fact that I am unable to finish off a tub, I'd consider myself lucky.

Oh, I forgot to mention the awesome results with the Bismarck this AM. For those of you enablers who pushed me in the direction of that blade for my custom razor, Cudos!

I would claim that picture was taken while out in the far reaches of the netherworld, but the fact it has a visible tree in it would immediately prove I was a liar.

@Screwtape John, I stand corrected on the total brush count. With the addition of the Paladin, the total will be 21 brushes.

I guess with Gen Alpha we can qualify 5-year-olds for free service at their towns' Senior Center.

Early morning shave, late afternoon post.
Back to the OC focus and the first use of my Canadian ball-end Old Type in a few months. One chipped tooth, but a rare 'un-cracked' handle. It had a Nacet already loaded, and if I left a blade in it, I'm assuming it wasn't done yet. A new to me soap today- John and I exchanged some keeper software along with our razor loaner exchange. I really like Jeeves products and it was an easy decision to say yes. The Cherry Blossom is a scent departure from my other Jeeves products and I did enjoy it well enough. One day isn't enough for a decent opinion, but at this point I would say that it sort of reminds me of the Currant profile of the Latha sandalwood.
The OT did its usual stellar job during my semi-rushed shave and two passes later I was out the door. A fine start to a busy day. Will hopefully have a slower, more relaxing shave with it tomorrow morning.
    Have a great evening all!

Wonderful picture, Jason. I'm running out of ways to compose my SOTD pics. I may have to steal the balancing razor idea.

All this talk about no repeat November and how many brushes and razors anybody has made me curious, so I updated my Den Inventory, and counted things up. I think I may have a problem:

    Brushes - 24 (plus 4 to sell/trade)
    DE - 17 (plus 5 to sell/trade)
    SE - 6
Straight - 8 (plus several in the restoration process)
    Creams -5 (plus 6 to sell/trade)
    Soaps - 88 (plus 7 to sell/trade)
    AS - 23 (plus 2 to sell/trade)

Prior to this, I seriously thought I was a little short on AS, as I have a number of soaps that don't really match up well with an AS...

It doesn’t look like that much in the pic...

That's more like it. Welcome back.
Awesome travel set, John! I can't wait to see all these razors of yours, and love your historical descriptions as well.
Sigh. Do you also hold up an electronic stud finder and hit the button as you wave it over yourself?:lyrtuy5:
Just in case you are in the 3.6% of general male population who wouldn't know (and I don't believe you are), 'down to the studs' is renovation-speak for gutting a room to the exposed construction studs.
The brush looks fairly far along the break in journey, Randy. A few more days will split those tips a little more and then you'll have an awesome soap killer.
Yup, me too. Loved the book by Coupland as well.

What a cool way to organize your gear, Randy. Fantastic collection! Nice job! :happy088:

I'm getting a shave cabinet in the new house, but it won't be this big. I showed yours to my Bride, and she gave me the official facepalm. In manspeak, that means you done good. :)

Awesome, Randy! Incredibly organized and presented.
Your brushes, razors and splashes aren't out of whack with many on here, but you have amassed quite a soap collection... :drool:I can see why finishing one is a pipe dream.

If my wife ever comments on my display rack volume, I may cut and paste your pic and show it to her...:happy088:

I do see a problem in that pic. I don't see any pain sticks. Without at least three the collection is, at best, incomplete. And, if you add them by the end of the month, you'll be the first member to receive the free donuts that are supplementing the cookies! :bounce017:
