I'm sure there are plenty of new old boxes of Wms. at fine supermarkets.

    Thank you, Charlie.
I would call the aftershave a traditional bay rum scent. I can't compare it to CC original bay rum as I don't have that one. Whatever they use to increase the burn apparently has no effect on me, really no different than most of my aftershaves. Long story short I like it.

I didn't like the Lime-Sec. It smells like green lifesavers to me, and not so much citrus. My favorite lime (which I used today,) is Stephen's Island Lime. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. I have a bout 7 oz left. I also like The Shave Den lime. I just got a bottle, 2x Iced. It has a citrus smell, but only hint of sweet. My challenge with Lime scent is making sure it is citrus and not candy scented.

I really like the Cherry Blossom. It is not a sweet candy or fruit like scent to my nose, but is a floral scent. I thought it was very different than the Latha Sandalwood.

I keep seeing people respond to you by saying they are smooth, sharp, preferred even to the Mighty Voskhod. Boy have they been hitting the vodka. I wouldn't shave with a Sharp Star if you paid me 100 rubles. Horrible blades. If you buy them, immediately forward them to Cartel HQ for proper disposal. Thank you.

Now that the "official opinion" is out of the way.......they are indeed my favorite of the Russian blades. I tripped over them a few years ago now on tryablade.com . I expected them to be bad, based on the rather amateurish looking art on the wrappers. I was immediately impressed. Did some basic research and found out they are Moscow blades from the home of Voskhod and Rapira, and were a special run for sale in the Middle East. They were made in 2013. Apparently they made a lot of them as they keep popping up. Or, rather, can be called back up with an ask of one of the Russian Ebay sellers. I only have 914 of them in my stash with another 100 on the way across the big water, if that is any indication of my true opinion of them (compare that to the 323 Voskhod in my stash).

Think I'll sit back and have some popcorn to watch how many ways this post could explode Fuzzy's head. Praising Williams (albeit vintage which deserves it) then "bloom" it. I can almost see the twitching in his neck as he decides yay or nay. As to your comment about it outperforming modern artisan soaps I will have to add my agreement that some of the vintage soaps do indeed match up and exceed the modern ones. I look at a soap like VDH Deluxe and honestly it produces a better lather and easier than several artisan soaps I can think of that I've tried. Sometimes the effort to improve on what's already working isn't worth the effort.

I found it pretty comparable to a quality straight razor shave for closeness and how long I felt clean shaven. Have you tried a straight yet? (*Begin Imperial March enabling song*)

Too bad Stephan's got rid of the Island Lime. I found a good site to get their Bay Rum-thought it might have the I.L. too. I'll double-check, but take you word for it at the same time.

It is just a great service that you are performing to the community by taking this awful, terrible blades off the street and disposing of them properly.
Sounds like a great shave, Gary!
Excellent shot, Perry! The fact that I can't get a County Club AS just makes me want one even more! :angry019:
Great shave Jim! I'm sorry that your trip had to be canceled.
Great Shave John! Like most early Gillette's the case is what determines the razor's name. Without a case they are all simply New Improved's
    Excellent shot Jim!
Beautiful photo, Clint! How do you like the scent on the AOS Sandalwood ?
Thank you, Charlie! Build a fire, have a nice cup of coffee and enjoy the begining of winter (we have only 2 weeks of fall this close to the Rockies)
Thanks Paul, most newborns gain about a quarter to a half pound a week. Declan was born at 8 pounds even so he is gaining weight at the upper end of the scale.
Have a great trip and weekend at home, Brian!
    Thanks Adam!

Question-How is Declan pronounced? I've been having fun trying to figure out. "Day-clan", "Deck-lan" Deck-LIN", daCLAN"?

Thank you Gents. Andrew I really like the scent of the AOS Sandalwood. To my knowledge it is the inspiration for Fine Sandalwood aftershave. More importantly my wife likes it. This is the second jar of the cream she’s given me.
