Personna injector blades are good. They're slightly sharper than Schick blades in the yellow package, in my opinion. Then the Schick Proline blades are sharper than Personnas. I get about 4-6 shaves with an injector blade.

Nice set up and shave today, Adam. I really like the Frugal Shave case.

This one really impressed me, I didn’t need to do any touch ups after the second pass. I’ll have to try it out soon with another type of blade to see what other combos have to offer. But your at the top of the list whenever the dark side takes Over completely 83997A41-624B-4057-82E2-E04A521E19A6.png

Thanks very much Clint. Of all the leather pouches I have the Timeless is far surperior to any. It fits all my razors perfectly and the stitching is excellent. All around a great product I have come to excpect from Timeless.

I agree with your assessment of the razor case. I also have the Timeless dop bag and was blown away by the quality.

Getting better and better shaves on the dark side rotating through my straights. I’m finally good enough with my technique to start to notice the differences between finishes on blades, so I’m looking forward to setting up a balsa strop vs my current wool strops (one is sprayed with diamond spray and one with chromium oxide). Any suggestions on the best way to set up the balsa for a smooth, sharp finish?

Razor: Gillette oc w/ jayaruh handle
    Blade: voskhod 2nd use
    Brush: jayaruh 147
    Soap$as: johs, blood on steel

I decided to try the same blade from last night in my oc since it is OCtober after all. But there wasn’t much growth from yesterday, so I opted for just an atg pass. After that just a little touch up around the jawline. Only one small weeper but other than that it was a perfect shave. BFBC8F91-93FE-4D07-81BA-1B359781CA01.jpeg

Make sure the balsa is perfectly flat so lap it. I also like to use FeO3, it even higher in grit than CrOx. I use CrOx followed with FeO3 for touch ups and after honing. Now I am experimenting on using FeO3 on firehose stop before each shave, I want to see if it will extend the life of my edges, so far is seems to be working.
