    Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample
Alum and Hendrix Classics Barbershop balm test sample jar

    IMG_20181027_210636.jpg

Same setup as yesterday except for the postshave products, so I just recycled the picture. Shave was much the same too, except two passes netted me a BBS today instead of a DFS. On the other hand, I used the alum today and it stung in a few places. I switched to @Pete123's excellent balm and it quietened everything down again.

I suspect the Old Type is just a shade too aggressive for me to be able to use it daily without problems. A few days in a row are fine but more than that and too much skin is getting removed.

Hope everyone had a blessed Sunday and is heading into a great week!

Razor - Gillette NEW LC (Delta Echo)
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (1)
Soap - Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

With all of the New LC's running around this month I wanted to get mine in one more time before the end. This is the razor I won in the first raffle I entered here. I had the number one pick and this beauty was there for the taking. I'm a huge fan of the NEW razors, and having the Delta Echo finish makes it that much more unique. I paired it with the mighty Voskhod. Can't get much better than that.

For the winning lather - The Canuck and Stirling's LE soap from this month here in St. Louis. Fantastic scent, fantastic lather, and the finish is baby smooth with enough lather left in the AP Shaveco knot to shave again tomorrow if I wanted. Outstanding all around.

Absolutely b-e-a-utiful razor. How long ago did you have it re-plated? How's the durability of the finish looking?

He won it in one of the TSD fundraiser raffles a couple years ago IIRC. It was already Cerakoted by Delta Echo when he won it.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Soap: Williams Mug Soap
Post: Witch hazel, Pitralon Classic aftershave

Decent shave this morning but could've been better. A little redness and irritation in a couple of spots. The Williams lather was okay. It faded some on my neck and I should've reapplied before shaving there, but I didn't and that's where some of the irritation is. Otherwise it was fairly stable. The Pitralon is nice and finished it all off in a cedary, woodsy goodness. I was thinking of sticking with this Williams until it's finished, but I may abandon ship. I'll stick with it through Wednesday and then see what happens.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the week. I woke up before the alarm sounded and decided to get out of bed. Everything was going so smoothly and I had the time, I did a full third pass. Near BBS and no issues. I haven't been chasing the baby on my lower neck or in the hollows. That more often than not will lead to redness and irritation. Just a great start to the day!

    Have a great week![IMG]

Monday morning's tend to be a little rough around here. Today was no exception but at least I was able to get in a great shave. The big Zenith whipped up a mountain of lather. Two passes, ATG & XTG followed by touch ups along my jaw line and buffing my neck ended in a perfect BBS shave. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am out the door. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
