    Thayers
    Barrister’s Reserve Cool AS

    Day 4 with the NI, 1st with the Wizamet. Got a good ‘Menthol Monday’ lather with the Proraso, which I don’t think I’ve pulled out since summertime. Took it to the bowl this morning and the horse did a good job. 3 easy, but attentive passes and I am quite smooth.

    Very nice looking razor, Gary. Looks to be in fantastic shape! Love that old corked bottle as well.
    I’ve found myself splitting time between face and bowl lathering lately, Rick. The quality of my lather in the bowl is usually a notch above, especially with a new product. Some of my softer boars are nice face latherers, though. Sometimes it is just whatever mood strikes...
    A two pass BBS? Very well done with the Old Type, John. Is that scuttle new? It is quite an interesting design.
    Very nice pic and combos, Keith. Pretty cool that you flew halfway around the world for that soap!
    Neat that you got that LE soap, Neal. Did he ever say what it was based on? Or is it an original scent? Some of the same accents as Gentlemen as well, I believe.
    Fyi- Your handle closely resembles the one that Keith posted today as well. I made one for the raffle awhile ago but then customized one for Keith after he won it. Yours is a touch shorter, with a collar not quite as long as I recall.

    Your LC is in fantastic shape, Jim! it looks to be one of the rare ones with the top cap plating still intact as well. Another new PAA? You’re catching up...

    Thank you, Perry. The horse knot came from @BaylorGator ‘s Shavey Awards. It is quite a small knot, but when I cleaned this vintage handle out, it fit perfectly. Sometimes things just work out, I guess.

    Fabulous Fu this morning, Jason. The pottery item in my photo is one I picked up in Halifax in 1989 from a local pottery shop called Lyncharm Pottery. I have no idea if it's still in business. The double mug is designed to hold the then-standard puck of Williams in the mug with the brush stored standing upright in the second opening. I usually use the brush holder to store the razors that are currently loaded with blades instead.

    The Sangre de Drago is nice although the scent from the aftershave dissipates fast and leaves a clean soap smell. It won't be replaced if I ever finish it. I probably won't be buying any PAA for awhile just to watch and see what he does with the soap bases.
