Bit of a "throw it down" and take a pic moment earlier but this is the rule for this month. A month without the Fatip, how will I make it :)

Terrific setup and photo, Clint! I've been intrigued by the R4L set. Rod sent out an email yesterday saying they had about 50 sets left and they wouldn't be available too much longer.

    Thank you, Jim!

Finished the drying without too much drama. Cuisinart pulverized the peppers with a modicum of sneezing. :) Didn't have that many peppers to begin with, although the bush was loaded. Our climate in Indiana is such, that when the peppers are really rolling, and I mean, there were about 100+, we get our first frosts. That ends that. Solution would be to start them indoors very early and get them in the ground around May 15th.

    November 2 SOTD:

    Razor: PAA Bakelite Alpha Ecliptic
    Blade: Rapira PL
    Brush: Ever-Ready 150
    Lather: Arko
    Aftershave: Clubman VI Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

A nice shave this morning, although I did manage a little cut. I am not sure how it happened, but cut none the less. I did end with a DFS+ and finished with some VI Bay Rum, which is always nice. After a long week, I am looking forward to getting my Friday done. I hope everyone has a great day!

This was the post on facebook:

I need some help with the final Black Friday scent. Just like last year, we'll be doing 2 oz aftershaves, but instead of pucks, we've listened to the complaints and we'll be doing 3 oz of soap in our 4 oz green container.

    Here are the confirmed scents:

Stirling One (based on D&G The One)
Black Pepper Lime (pure essential oil)
Stirling Green (based on the old green bottle Polo)
Deep Blue Sea (based on Bleu de Chanel)
    Haverford (based on Tobacco Vanille)
D-503 (based on Mont Blanc Legend)

We're making a bulk bottle purchase so we can keep the price down on these, and I need one more scent to make sure we use up the bottles. If you have any suggestions, please let me know below. The final scent will be taken from customer suggestions.

    Thanks for the help.

    Rod

Edit: the six scents listed above are already confirmed as being made for Black Friday. I'm looking for one final scent to add to the six.
Rod also hinted in the comments that the seventh scent will be a dupe of the Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb cologne.

    November 2nd
    Razor: Blackland Dart
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: Switchback/TGN boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Stirling Port AU Prince
    Stirling Bergamot Lavender witch hazel
    AS: Stirling Port AU Prince

    Good morning!

I bloomed my soap this morning. First time for me. A couple of tablespoons of warm water. I squeezed and flicked what I could out of my brush and rehydrated it with the bloom water. The remaining bloom water was dumped into the preheated scuttle. I proceeded to load my brush like i hated it. Results were a scuttle overflowing with a rich thick luxurious lather.
My shave started with a bad set down. Not sure exactly how I did it. I would call the cut closer to my shoulder than my neck. Not a spot that I shave or needs shaving. The rest of the shave was uneventful with a near BBS finish. Some extra warmth from the alum shows I need more time with the Dart.

    Happy Friday, gentlemen! [IMG]
