Thank you, fellas! There are far more good shaves these days than bad. Still, some stand out more than others. Today was one of those days. The scent of the soap was delightful, as was the performance. I took my time and savored the experience.

I love the Karve, Clint. As we've both mentioned before, it's so efficient. For me anyway, I need to be mindful, otherwise it will bite. Not that it's a wicked razor, by any stretch, but there's just enough blade exposure that will get your attention if you get sloppy. I am happy that I was able to cancel the "E" plate prior to shipment, as the "D" is all I really need.

Sounds like a great shave, Bruce! The Karve is a great razor!

Thank you, John, for the offer to keep the vintage blades. You did send one of these cartridges to me a couple years ago as well. Very good blades. I can send this one back if you need it.

Andrew, I am assuming that is a union logo? Steelworkers, hence 'Steelers'?

Awesome looking lather catcher, Perry! Is your Omega in its original handle, or did you re-home it?
Love that brush everytime you show it, Clint. I hope your commute home isn't too bad. Happy Friday!
Cool pic as usual, Jim. Is that razor as red as it appears in your photo?
Agree with @Linuxguile ...drop the mic.

Just like your dad before you, and his before him... I remember :happy088:
TGIF Indeed! Another great shot- my kids got the pumpkin guts everywhere at that age- he seems very organized!
I used a homemade preshave oil for a few months when I first started, but then went away from using any preshave product. It is the one software area I haven't gone into a rabbit hole with!
Thank you so much for sharing, Charlie. So many people talk about making the world a better place, and then you read something like this and know that some people, yourself included, are past talking and are causing it to happen.
I think you'll be lucky to get 25 more days out of that Pink aftershave, Joseph! Great photo and write up as usual.
Loved those brushes when Fuzzy's group had them made. I assume the top is stainless steel?

Mine are trying to multiply as we speak. I have a number of knots ready to go and have cut a few wood blanks to mess around with a bit.
    Always.
'Tis a fine line, no question. I did show some uncommon restraint recently, though. I was fully planning on buying a Karve by now, but purchased the Bostonian instead. I consider it progress that I didn't get both.

Thank you, Jason! The Omega brush handle is the original black plastic handle. The red label came off at some point. I got that brush in a PIF from @Marverel right after I joined TSD. It's been a terrific brush.

I just educated myself. The Steelmark is owned by the American Iron and Steel Institute and was adopted by the Pittsburgh Steelers (NLF football team) as their team logo in 1962.

I have that Razorock razor in a Delta Echo Cubano paint scheme. It’s a great shaver.

    Great report! Great progress! Cheers!

I should look into N.O. Flying Hide, sounds like. I did like the Midnight Stag, but as I've been posting in here, I got it during the heat of the summer which was the wrong time(for me). I'd like it better in the cold months. And since this is just two days after Halloween when I read the "creepy" part, I'll let you get away with it. :) But y'know, in the Art of Manliness website, Motor Oil is listed as one of the "15 Manly Smells".

I think the one you have might be the Mentor head. But I agree with you it is a great shaver. The Game Changer is new this year and features a Wolfman-esque style head machined out of 316l stainless steel.

    Gillette Z-3 Super Speed
    Voskhod (2)
    Kent BK8 Silvertip
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, Trumper Coral Skin Food, and unrefined shea butter

I really enjoy the SS loaded with a Voskhod blade and paired with the BK8 brush. I have mountains of lather, and the shaves are wonderfully smooth and easy. After two passes, I'm near BBS with not even a hint of irritation.

@Drygulch, I finished up a bottle of Thayers witch hazel. I'll have some other finished products to report soon. In preparation, I brought out my container of Soap Commander Love. It will be my next product to use up once the LPL is gone baby gone.

I hope all is well, gentlemen. Two days into the month, and you all are posting some terrific set ups. I can only imagine what No-whatever November will bring.

    Pass the Doritos...er...uh....donuts. :signs081:
