Smacked another one outta the park today, and wasn't even trying. Up stupid early this morning to drop my wife's car off for new tires, but had enough time to bust out a quick shave after my shower.
Keeping with my samples, I went with @Pete123 's Hendrix Classics soap. Used the JR216 synth and cranked out a wonderful face lather. I really enjoy this soap. Added enough water to get that wonderful yogurt consistently, and went to town with the Supply injector. Kinda two, yet sorta three passes later and the ol' face was smooth. Topped off with a healthy dose of Stirling Barbershop AS...niiiiice....
Time to mix the thinset and lay some tile. Woo hoo.
    Have a great Saturday fellas!

Thank you, Perry, for the kind words. I was fortunate to get this LE brush from Rudy Vey. My Dad was born in 1915, so Rudy made #15 for me.

I was actually making fun of Bruce for imagining you while he was shaving. I would never throw a fellow "Bloomer" under the bus. Still "Creepy" BTW. :happy102:

    Mystic Water Sandalwood Rose~~CH2 Synthetic~~'56 Super-Speed~~Personna 74
Three day in and I am still focused. Veerrryyy interesting...(fill in the rest, Laugh-in aficionados)
Even the casual observer will notice that I have transferred my MW Sandalwood Rose into a different container.
No, I do not like this one better, indeed I like it a lot less. Too small to comfortably load,

however, I can delay the inevitable donut hole for the time being.
Why do I bother with this synthetic brush?? Honestly, I don't even like it.

The springiness is awful. The face feel is artificial. If it weren't for the quick dry-time; perfect for travel,
I would never use it. But use it, I did for today's shave. Meh.
I'll trade it for a Varlet Ranger, if anyone is interested. :p
    Birth-Year Super-Speed with the ubiquitous Personna 74.

You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away.
    Slick...baby.
    Great shave.
Finished with the Thayer's and DRH.
    Now, go take
on the day...(10 points to whomever can identify who made that phrase popular?)

A little Charlie-fu happenin' this morning!
A shave with otters, hides, stags, leather, tobacco, gasoline, gas stations, chisels, planetary alignment, and thoughts of @Paul Turner. Yes, this may be a little creepy in normal circles, but it's par for the course here. :)
I had it in the cart and almost pulled the trigger on this PAA razor yesterday, Jim. I've been on the fence about getting a bakelite razor, and this one may still be too cool to pass up.
Adam, it's good to see you back on the Dark Side. Love the cracked ice scales on the Western States.
That is a super cool Fatboy, John. It has been a lot of fun watching you dig razors out of storage, especially those you didn't even know you had, these past few weeks. You must have been in an eBay buying frenzy sometime in the past.
Rob, I'm glad you're back us. What a great first shave post for November! I see you've had 5 showers plus multiple dips in chlorinated pools in 3 days. In my neck of the woods, we're fortunate to get a couple of sponge baths and maybe a dip in the river each month. ;)
I can't help but wonder if that old injector magazine had fallen into someone's toilet back in '71. :sick007: I'm sure the alum block took care of any residual cooties that were strong enough to survive the past few decades. Hey, I just noticed that everyone has Stirling soaps except me! You know...if I had a gift certificate... :innocent
Awesome SOTD photo, Jim! Are you going for a Vector today?
Randy, you've made tremendous progress with the straights! If I ever have questions about soaps, I'm coming to you first. I've only had one B&M soap. It was Bay Rum, and I wasn't a fan of the scent. I PIF'd it to a guy, and I noticed he PIF'd it soon afterward...
Well, Bruce, you redeemed yourself. This shave wasn't creepy at all. Good luck with the bathroom reno. I hope it goes well! Please share some photos when your project is complete.

Shoot! I should have made multiple posts instead of using multi-quote! :angry032: :angry017:

I did take the precaution of soaking the razor head with blade inserted in some 90% alcohol before using it. No cooties allowed. A gift card would be nice wouldn't it. And your last post......was not the one yet. Nice try, though.
