    Thank you, Charlie!
I think I'm going to get the Vector. I won't know for sure until I actually do it. I have bought some Artist Club blades, you know, just in case.

No use wasting good Vodka for sterilization! I'll keep posting and hoping...

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

You soak the razor in 90% isopropyl, then after the shave you drink the good stuff for internal sterilization just in case something got through. Continue to drink until you really don't care what got through. Works every time.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick G4 '66'
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Soap: Soap Commander Courage
Post: Witch hazel, Fine Platinum aftershave

Nice shave this morning. Each time I return to Soap Commander I wonder why I'm not using it more often. What terrific soap. This was the first use of the Courage scent and it matches well with Fine Platinum or Stirling Executive Man (which I need to order). Incredible lather swiped away with ease by the Schick 66. I used a little Stirling glacial balm for an extra layer of chill. Nice all around.

Looking forward to a day of college football and adult beverages. :eatdrink047: Last night was our final game of the season, which generally means things slow down for a while, but we're doing The Wizard of Oz next week as a school-wide musical. I conduct the pit orchestra and next week is tech week. So no rest for the weary. But Thanksgiving break is approaching quickly and we have the whole week off.

    Have a great day!

Since I am trying to have a somewhat productive morning before I settle in for football and beverages, I went to the barbershop for a hair cut. Luckily this is a modern take on the barbershop without a bottle of Clubman or Talc on the premises. ;) Instead they use pomades and creams. With a fresh hair cut, I decided to go with a traditional shave using the Stirling Bay Rum. With the small amount of the sample left in the container, I more or less ended up bowl lathering. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. The Karve D is a first class razor but just a touch less efficient than my 2 Wolfman OCs. A splash of Grand Bay Rum and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

I'd better be careful with the adult beverages and cruising shaving websites! I went ahead and ordered some witch hazel and two aftershaves from The Shave Den Shop. @Queen of Blades is closing orders on November 30 in order to fulfill everything by the end of the year.

Ordered SubZero witch hazel and aftershave, and Barber Shoppe aftershave with menthol.

I have a Vintage Injector cartridge that came with my PAL Injectomatic. Blades look to be in super shape, sure look like carbons, and are just awful. On the other hand, every vintage Stainless injector blade I have (PAL, Schick, Gillette Twins) is excellent.
