    I am happy to report that some adult beverages minus the football led to a Walbusch razor purchase (thank you @Linuxguile for the information/enabling). I also figured since my NB period ended (wow, I think it was three weeks :shocked003:), I might as well pick up a some PAA CK6 soap. OK, a new NB period starts today.

    Survey Update-11/3: No Plan continues with a HUGE lead, No Repeat and No Clue tied for second, Duffnuts fourth. Not much excitement with the others........yet.

    You talk about NB......I know it failed for me this year, but I'm going to try again maybe in 21. Too many great-sounding soaps out there to add to my current list. I should have the ones I'm eyeing by 2021.

    Thanks for taking up for me, Charlie! See that Joseph @Primotenore ? Perfectly normal!

    In fairness, it was a brief thought of Paul @Paul Turner due to the scent of the soap. He wasn’t on my mind for the entire shave. Now THAT would be creepy!

    Thanks for the good luck wishes too, Charlie. How’s your new crib coming along?

    Today I was unfaithful to my straight razors. My wife and I jumped out of bed and decided to go for a drive in the mountains. I just did a quick shave with an Old Type. I’ll probably be doing this a few times in NOvember. It’s good to see that I can still get a nice shave with a safety razor
    We are back after a wonderful day.
    This morning’s shave.
    Proraso Red Cream
    Jayaruh #235 Brush
    Gillette Old Type Razor
    GSB Blade
    Fine Absolut Santal After Shave

    Well, every handle I’ve ever made was either kept or shipped off to a 30DCer, so in some ways you already are.:)

    Great shave report and photo, John! That’s a nifty set. It’s a shame the brush isn’t holding up that well, but a new knot could give it a new chapter in its life.

    Edit: Just read the follow up posts about finding a knot that small, and difficulty making it work. Shame. Such a cool brush!
