I'll switch up gear tomorrow with two items that I'll be using for the first time: Ladas Super Stainless DE blades given to me by @NCoxSTL and my B-400 by Tom aluminum handle with a 23 mm Envy White Supreme Two-band fan knot set at 54 mm. Should be fun!

In honor of my Z-3 Super Speed, here's one of the top hits from 1954:

Anyone else notice the photo of @wchnu and his younger brothers on the album cover?

Nice post, Charlie! I found Pete's soap to be exceptional. Slick, protective, easy to lather, etc. The scent is very close to TSD's Barber Shoppe, which is on sale right now for $3.33 for a 4oz bottle since the shop is closing soon. A little shameless enabling is never a bad thing.

I suppose I should be thinking about that song today-got a nice haircut yesterday from one of the barberettes.

Thanks Perry! Yes, Pete hit a home run with this soap, you dirty rotten enabler. ;)

Have a great partial day off getting those errands done. I need to vote and have a few errands to run as well.

    Yesterday's shave...
    x.jpg
Today's shave - Although I'm spending most of my time on the dark side (end enjoying good shaves there), sometimes an effortless BBS shave with the Fatboy is just what the doctor ordered. I look forward to the time where they come just as easily with the straight. I'm on track; it's just that time takes time.

In other news, I'm going through some of my lesser used soaps and brushes to thin out the herd and end up with only my absolute favorites. Having not used the SOC Cerda in a while was a mistake; it's small but mighty and an awesome brush. Also, CRSW - Jeff's Soap is excellent and unobtainium and my third favorite CRSW soap in the cabinet. No reason for me to get rid of it other than to let go of a third place finisher in order to free up space that I can fill up with new crap. OK, that's reason enough... so, if you are dying to get your hands on some unobtainium Jeff's Soap, PM me and we can probably work something out... (Offer available only to the 30DC.) xx.jpg

    Mystic Water~~Semogue~~Gillette~~Personna 74~~Penhaligon's
    Titanic details:
The Sandalwood Rose is resisting all attempts to deplete; whereas the Thayer's and the DRH seem to be resigned to their fate.
The well-worn Semogue 620 took the MW to task; creating some lovely lather.
I like the acrylic handle on this boar; except that it is a tad small.
The knot is super-soft---as soft as any boar I have ever owned. :happy088:
One thing I have noticed, a well-broken in boar brush becomes much less of a soap eater.

Inserted into the 1940 Milord Tech was the veteran Personna 74 blade. Do I detect a touch of tug? Possibly.
Not enough to prevent me from a smooth, cut/nick/irritation-free shave.
The rose-scented post shave gear lived up to---and in one case, exceeded expectations.
I am referring to the Penhaligon's, which I do not reach for too often, mostly because it is fairly pricey and I am hoarding it.
When I do, it is---no-question, my top rose-scent in the stable. :happy088:

For those who follow this sort of thing...........

Rainy election day in these parts. We are not supposed to talk politics here so read fast before the mods bust my chops.

As I entered the voting booth today I boldly pulled the straight party lever for ice cream. One should never be ashamed of its superiority!
