Awww rodd sorry to hear that. Hope it gets better fast. So far I have dodged that bullet.

    Morning Calvin & Rodd.

Rodd - sorry to hear you're feeling bad. That's a bummer...sick or from all the shoveling last night?

I just finished eating breakfast, already shoveled my walk and driveway, also my neighbor's walk and driveway. Now I get to figure out what to do with the rest of my day....

Yeah, just pretend I'm the new trainee. I need a part-time job anyway...preferably something I can do from home on the computer...

Ugh, well, my back does hurt, mostly from having to dig out the fire hydrant that the plow burried in 4 feet of packed snow, but I have a ton of drainage and what feels like a sinus infection. My respiratory system does not deal well with those temperatures.

Have you tried a neti pot? I've found that really helps with my sinuses; I'm prone to nasty sinus infections, too.

Thanks for digging out the hydrant. That really helps us out a lot! Good Samaritan Rodd!!! Hopefully they won't need it though...

Just something I thought about. I was working Security Patrol in Tucson several years back and drove past an apartment fire. Some Jerk had parked his car in front of the hydrant. The fire dept had run a hose through the car windows to get it to the pumper. The best part was that the hose was leaking in the car. I bet it was flooded by the time it was over.. Served the idiot right i say.

Morning Rodd, Fuzzy and Matt. We got another 2 inches of snow last night but not nearly as wet of snow. Can't wait until tomorrow, supposed to be in the mid 50's.

Hope you get to feeling better Rodd, I am battling a nasty cold myself.

Didn't they do that in backdraft?

Morning Rodd, sorry you are sick, have you been sharing mugs with queeny?

Hi Matt and Fuzzy. I'm leaving tomorrow AM, but wasn't sure if I'd make it on today before I left.
Hi Tracy, if you want wet snow, that's what we get here.

Good morning Tracy, Bong...we got a very dry snow here overnight. already shoveled out...did the neighbor's too...if it snows when I'm at work, they'll usually do ours so SWMBO won't have to...

Good morning one and all, and welcome to the show. Today you will be dazzled, you will be dazed. You will be mystified, stupified, petrified, terrified, and stuff.

To start off this spectacular event, we will witness an display of courage so terrific, so cunning, so dazzling, that you will be left wondering if it really happened at all.................................

And now back to our regularly schedueled program.

So, how are we doing this freezing winter morning?

Shawn, you really should give the stropping a whirl. Smoother shave you will get, and happiness will be presented to your head.

I should not have eaten those beans in the middle of the night.

Hey Rolls...Good Morning...and what are you doing here? Aren't you late for your trek through the woods?

And the times I'd read about stropping, both mentioned using the palm, I'd presume for is rougher texture?
But some fellas are know to have cow-hide tough skin, though...

Morning there Jim.... That is about how it looked except you could see the water squirting out the hose inside the car.

Hows things in your part of the world?

Yeah, I got a late start this morning, and it's pretty cold out. Cold like that is actually painful for us old people. Seriously.

My skin is fairly weathered, but even in my younger days, I did it the same way, with the same results. Unless you are one of these girly-men who slather lotion all over thier bodies to keep soft and supple (like a WOMAN should be), then your forearm should be sufficient to get a good stropping. If you do not feel like it is enough, use newspaper.

Newspaper is also a fantastic material to use for stropping a thin edge (like a DE blade).
