Good to see your use of a pepperminty soap....I might get one for next summer(but from a different company than TSS)

 

I can tell you Sudsy Soapery is one of my TOP 3 soaps (there vegan) - just amazing post shave , slickness , natural feel and scent.. pink peppermint was limited - but you can get Lavendar & Mint - or twice mint - both amazing

I guess I'm late to this post, but where can I find a list of face freezers that don't smell "minty".

I don't know how to explain this, I don't mind menthol but can't stand the mint toothpaste like smell.


Are there any face freezing shaving creams and soaps that would fit my preference ?

 

Check out Stirling's Glacial line. Lemon Chill is a terrific lemon scent. Eskimo Tuxedo is the Sharp Dressed Man scent with significant menthol.

I've already ordered Glacial lemon chill and a couple of others. Quite excited as it's been compared to Vostok which was a absolutely lovely soap.

 

In the spring/summer keep an eye out for the Stirling Glacial Black Cherry, and Iced Pineapple. Though Iced Pineapple doesn't have as much menthol as the Glacial line it still has enough to get your face freeze on. Also, Jeff @Yehuda D might have some other recommendations.

So here goes a blow by blow. I inserted the blade and screwed the cap down to full contact, then gave an 1/8 turn to snug it up. I faced lathered the in readable soap. First stroke. Wow this thing is smooth. Zero blade chatter on over 3 days growth. I did both cheeks and chin before I rinsed the razor. Then finished my neck.

A quick splash of water on my hands and went forth to check pass 1. Very good reduction and only 1 rinse. A true lather catcher trait.

Pass 2 all South to North. Same 1 rinse. Checked the results and really nice reduction. It was a CCS at this point.

Pass 3 going crazy angles to match my growth layout for ATG. Once again wet my hand and check for stragglers. Just a few under the jaw. I finished with a near BBS.

I am very pleased with the results of this razor. I might just start using a DE on occasion.

Time to polish up this little sexy ride.
