Have fun, Keith! Safe travels. I just checked, and Cebu has Kentucky Fried Chicken. You should be OK.

The cheeze whiz of shave brushes, apparently. Available at Spencer’s Gifts or wherever singing bass plaques can be found.

They are really the predecessors to the SS razors, but these are more efficient than the SS. They are a bit difficult to find, but the 40's style SS are the closest to them are are fairly easy to find. If you can get one for cheap, I would recommend. With some cap riding, they will shave very well.

I know that I get a regular supply of AOS creams as gifts from my wife. AOS sends out sale coupons that make their creams priced similar to other creams such as TOBS. I am trying to head off more AOS for Christmas by giving her a list of alternatives. Not sure it will work but it was worth a try.

And don’t forget for most of us it’s a closer shave. If I had even a shred of self control I might have actually saved money, but turns out I have no will power when it comes to razors.

I brought out the Blood on Steel after shave last night, and my Bride says it's her favorite of all my AS scents. A big shout out to @Drygulch for working with Jeeves of Hudson Street on the LE soap and AS.

    November 10th
    Razor: Blackland Vector
    Blade: Feather Professional (3)
    Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Stirling Port AU Prince
    Stirling Bergamot Lavender witch hazel
    AS: Stirling Port AU Prince

    Good morning!

Another traditional three pass shave to start the day. BBS with silent alum.

The Blackland Vector is a smooth, easy razor with moderate blade feel. Not too heavy, not too light. I was concerned that the length of the blade would be awkward, not the case at all. With the narrow head and a balance that feels natural to me the razor feels nimble. If someone is looking for an aggressive feeling razor this isn't it. These are my impressions after three shaves.

The Port Au Prince sample has two or three shaves left. Great performance from the mutton tallow, and no, the scent hasn't grown on me.

    Have a great weekend!

It's 13 days until Black Friday and 17 days until Cyber Monday. Does anyone have any buying plans or expect any cool deals on shaving goodies?

Great job, Randy, on bringing the blade back to life. I really admire how quickly you've taken to restoring and honing your razors. That's a beautiful straight razor!

I hope your day off and kid afternoon was fun, Jim. I always enjoy seeing the variety of products you use. You've had me looking at the PAA website a few times this past month. I'm standing firm...so far. I really like your impressionist SOTD photos. I think a couple of these enlarged and framed would look might cool in a shave den.
