Thank you, Andrew! I was worried about the label and wanted to keep it somehow. I'll try the hair dryer trick!

    Nice photo, Brian!

Nice photo, Joseph! Not sure I can comment much on your theory, but it certainly seems reasonable.

I like the photo, Pete! Really neat decanter for the aftershave.

    Wonderful report, John!

Love the yellow and wood tones in your photo, Jason! Great shave.

    Two wonderful photos, Doug!

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Blackland Dart
    Ikon Tech
    Derby Premium
    Stirling Boar (24mm, Frigate Class)
    Cella of Hagen Street
Baxter of California Shave Tonic and ASB

Round two of the showdown between the Ikon Tech and the Blackland Dart. New blades in both razors, and a slick creamy lather from the Cella, Jeeves, VdH frankensoap. Today I started with the Dart on the left and the Ikon Tech on the right. Nothing new from The Dart, lots of blade feel but in a controlled manner. I really focused on maintaining the shallowest of angles with the Ikon Tech, which took away most of the harshness, but there was still a couple of times where I let the angle vary a little and could definitely feel the difference. The Ikon Tech is definitely more aggressive (blade feel) then the Dart but I can’t say that is it more efficient. I may be neutering the Tech slightly by using the shallowest angle possible but to shave with it otherwise is rather uncomfortable. Have a great day my friends!!

    Hump DAYYYYYY!!!

That's a classy set up, Doug. The Black Tip looks like new, and the U.S.M.C. brush is a beauty! You ever thought about movin' to Florida? :Animatedfrozensmily:

I've enjoyed following your showdown shaves this month, Andrew. Your write ups and photos have been wonderful. You have two sweet boys there. It warms my heart to see Logan cuddling with Declan. You can never post too many photos of your boys. I love seeing them all.

Typical newbie mistake. We'll let it go this time if you promise not to bloom your soap the rest of the week.

Gillette Z-3 Super Speed Flare Tip
    Ladas Super Stainless (3)
B-400 by Tom handle & Envy White supreme two-band knot
Hendrix Classics & Co. soap (7)
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Alt-Innsbruck

I had another near-perfect morning shave with this set up. I give a big thumbs up to every aspect of it. I can't say enough good things about the performance of the Hendrix soap, the Ladas blades, and the B-400 by Tom brush. First rate all the way! I'm planning to change up tomorrow's shave with a Simpson Chubby 2 (The Soap Destroyer) and a birth year Gillette Slim that I haven't used in a while. Just for fun, I'm gonna give one of my Sputnik DE blades another try to see if my opinion has changed. I'll enjoy using my Hendrix soap sample until it is finished.

    Have a great day, all!

Nice report, Charlie! The Hendrix soap is top notch. I may need to order some in the future. It pairs well with TSD's Barber Shoppe aftershave.
