Can't stand the feather in the SS, Rolls.

In the HD and the Old Tracy sent me, they work fabulously.

 

I don't like feathers in any Gillette, they just didn't agree with me. In my slant it is a whole different story. I don't even know what caused me to try a feather in the slant, I had basically written them off.

 

Only Gillettes I've tried have been the SS and the Old you sent me. Haven't really had much of a desire to try others. It's always a good idea to revisit blades and make sure you hated them.

EDIT: Rolls - do you like Feathers tickling your nose?

Never mind about the Valobra. 35 euros shipping for a 9 euro soap? NOPE.

 

Dom, you are missing out on some of the greatest shavers ever made. The old NDC Fat Handled Techs, for example. They are wonderful for anyone from a newbie to an old dude like me. Another must have is the Gillette Slim adjustable. Find one!! When you get it, set it on 5 and leave it there. Dom, I have been doing this for many, many years. Right now there are three razors on the rack in my shaving room. A Gillette Slim, a Gillette HD SS (red tip), and a NDC Tech. The two I use most though are the Slim and the Tech. The red tip SS is really just there because it is such a nice looking razor. I will have to find a picture of my stand. It is quite unique..........

 

Maybe one day, Rolls. I've never had an AD with regards to razors and don't really want to start buying more things.

Funny story.....FedEx guy just showed up to drop package off(no not shaving) He asks what that smell is? The jerky I have the dehydrator in the next room and basically smells up the entire downstairs. Gave him some extra I had......Happy man! If it tastes anything like it smells its going to be a winner.

Tried an Astra Superior today. It came yesterday in the mail and I couldn't wait. Very nice blade, so far...sharp and smooth....I'm thinking maybe better than the 7 O'Clocks... it's still early yet, though...

similar here...it keeps my wife up, but it only affects me when I'm really sick, if I'm just barely got a cold, nothing, if I'm bad, ZZZZZZZ

yup...your bodies acclimation to it affects you as well.
I remember the first time I tried Jolt cola...was in high school, we were on a mission trip in Pueblo, Colorado. We were driving home after worship service that night, stopped to get some snacks at the dorm, some of the guys found Jolt, we bought a bunch. Some of the guys were up all night...one in particular was running around in his underwear singing (he was a bit crazy anyway), I had two, went to bed and slept normally (except for being woke up by crazy_underwear_singing_guy)
caffeine + me = have to pee more than normal, but no waking benefits

I just found a few pictures of my razor stand. This is for my "in use" razors. I usually have three razors and a brush in use at all times. The rest goes into the security of my shave den...........


BTW, the soap in the dish is not actually yellow. I do not know why it looks like that in the picture, but it is white. Matter of fact, a few guys have the same stuff. It is the soap that my son makes. I sent out slices of it a while back, but only one guy ever reported his thoughts on it........

Anyway, this is my own custom shaving stand.
