Another excellent shave this morning. The little Ever Ready quickly whipped up a wonderful lather with little effort. I went with a two pass shave, ATG and XTG. With touch ups along my jaw line and neck, I came close but didn't catch the baby. Another long day ahead. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

    Thanks, Jim.
One of the few rose soaps that I haven't any experience with. I am surprised your skin reacted to it? The only rose product that I react to, is the AoS Rose Absolute aftershave balm (formulated, I believe for women's legs), it makes my lips tingle. (I cannot believe I just wrote that!)

Thank you, Jim! I absolutely love the Noble Otter. From what I've seen, they're generating some buzz these days, with some even putting them up there with Wholly Kaw (I can't validate that claim - yet). Like many artisan soaps, Noble Otter is a thirsty soap. It's mega easy to load and lather, and it's slick as whale snot (which I have on good authority is very slick!). The cushioning is also top-notch. It's quite easy to achieve a "super goop" lather.
This particular scent (Flying Hide) is delightful - it's primarily a leather scent. Bonus - it's also "Wife Approved"! :) I've mentioned it before, but it's what I was hoping Chiseled Face Midnight Stag would be. It has the ruggedness, but Flying Hide is much more refined. And it (thankfully) lacks the gasoline smell!
I've used it the last three days - from what I've experienced, it's up there with the best of 'em. These folks definitely have done their homework on soap making, and it shows. I'll end up buying more of their product, in different scents (I also like the Lonestar scent of the sample I have).

Your statement about the AOS balm raises some questions from me about how you are using these products and exactly what is causing the reaction.

I have seen a few other people mention that the Stirling Rose scent causes a bit of a reaction for them. I think it was a Black Friday offering from them last year and not sure it made the cut again.

I use the AoS, which is actually an After shave "milk" (whatever the difference is?) as an ASB. My skin has zero reaction, but if some gets on my lips, they tingle. Right now it's a moot point, because I am sporting a Van Dyke, so I am not shaving in that region.
    This is the product:

Thanks, Charlie! I also would like to see the photos of the finished project...that would mean it was, well...finished! :happy097: I only decided to undertake this project as a cost savings. So, a dose of cheapness, with a healthy side of dumbness got me to DIY this job. Hopefully it'll look decent when it's done. Naturally, because I'm the one doing it, I see every flaw. I'm kicking myself for picking the tile that we did for the shower, as each one is only 3" x 6". That's a lot of individual tiles...somewhere in the 800 range. :angry032:

Sounds like things are going smoothly on your house, overall. There will always be delays and issues, not matter how well it's planned out. Your builder seems like he's easy to work with too, which is a big plus. I'll be excited to see the photos when it's all done!
