Sorry about the rough shave and blood, Neal. On the bright side, it made for an entertaining shave report for the rest of us to read. Is that any consolation?
On a serious note, I do hope the cuts heal quickly and that the shaves get better from this point forward. We all have *those* shaves from time to time...

Thanks for the informative review, Bruce! I have a tub of Wholly Kaw and the performance is great. Another soap on the list.

    Razor: Blackland Vector
    Blade: Feather Pro Super (2)
    Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Hendrix Classics & Co.
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: Pinaud Clubman

    Good morning!

Great shave to start the day. I've been loading my brush for about 40 seconds which is enough slick goopy lather to fill my scuttle. I did have a weeper on my neck this morning. First blood drawn by the Vector and the first report from the alum in the last nine shaves. No complaints, I'm BBS and ready to start the day.

    Have a great Friday!

    Gillette G-3 Slim
    Sputnik (2)
    Simpson Chubby 2 Super
Hendrix Classics & Co. soap (9)
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum

I enjoyed a nice two-pass plus touch-up shave with the Slim on 5. My focus must have drifted, as I experienced a few small weepers on my chin and neck. Everything sealed up nicely with the cold water rinse, but the AS stung a bit. I find that I really have to pay attention while using Sputnik blades. I'll use up this tuck, but I have no plans to replace them. I finished with a splash of CC Bay Rum and a shot of Aramis - both great scents for a cold November day.

@Drygulch I finished up Hendrix soap sample. I transferred a few remaining bits that would only serve to insult The Soap Destroyer to a facial soap container. I'm moving on to Soap Commander Love for the next couple hundred shaves...or maybe 50 shaves if I keep using the The Soap Destroyer. :)

It's sunny, so we are getting out this afternoon. My Bride, Sister, and I are starting by having lunch at a local Mediterranean restaurant.

Happy Friday, gentlemen, and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow countrymen a few days in advance.

Nice report, Charlie! Enjoy your outing this afternoon. The sun is shining here as well. Pretty nice after about a solid week of gray.

Too bad about the weepers but nice shave otherwise. Congrats finishing your sample. Have a great day with your bride and sis!

Thanks Perry. I hope you also have a chance to get outside and enjoy the sun. These kind of cold weather days really lift my spirits.
