I am working on a roster but it's a constantly moving target. We do have a solid core here, no doubt about it, and it continues to grow which is a very good thing. Mentally? We are grown men who share pictures of shaving gear and run bare steel across our faces and necks and heads. Sometimes questionable quality bare steel. I think that says it all.

Thank you, John! They’re nice razors, and one would look right at home in your den. ;)

Those are awesome blades. @Keithmax sent me some and I use then sparingly given the increasingly unobtanium status.

Thank you, Clint! You didn’t steer me wrong with your Fine enabling. See what I did there? :happy102:
It’s a nice aftershave, and I can see why so many of you gents like them. I saw that you aren’t big on the soaps though...

They've disappeared from tryablade.com now as well. He used to have them available but not for some time now. I think they were one of the Russians that stopped production and stayed stopped. Gillette Silver Blue went through a scare period a few years back but seemed to come back. I think the demand stayed up for those. Or else they found another warehouse full of them.

Decanting out of plastic & into glass is an approved, even encouraged activity. I'd ask our 30 DC Historian to go back through your posts and see if you've made a habit of dropping in ersetzen aftershaves. Unfortunately no one remembers who got elected historian. If he's still around he's not talking.

Nope have not disavowed the 30DC!!!! I am not around as much as I use to be here. That has nothing to do with disavowing the crew. I still count you folks as friends of mine.

Great shave today. I haven’t had as much time to shave as much as I would like to, with my work schedule making me put in some rediculous amounts of hours, but t at least the shaves I am getting in have been really good ones. So I’m going to keep up the no repeat on my razors till I’ve used them all. Enjoy your weekend 5E5747AB-6D85-4EDD-8E53-6CEF12546362.jpeg

    Jason,
The Parat was produced in the 50's in England for the German market (Parat is short for "Apparat"). Except for the handle difference, the razor head, I believe, is identical to the Super-Speeds manufactured at that time.

Congrats @jluc on the brush win!

Off to the campus of Southern Miss in a few minutes. I'll try to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing my former students and hopefully a former professor or two.

Great shaves, everyone! Enjoy your day.

The Fine soaps work well and are a perfect pairing with the aftershaves. The biggest issue for me. They leave the razors and sink filthy with a white film.

    Ok men, and ladies
I am having issues with my R41, it pulls like I'm using a dull knife to shave with. No blood, nicks, weepers or any of that stuff, just big time pulling.
I don't have problems with any other razor DE or SE. I have about 50 old and new different razors. I switch around sometimes not using the same razor for weeks, I get great results.
3 pass face 2 pass head every day bar none. I like Feather blades, I get 2 shaves out of one blade. I use Pesonna GEM PTFE blades for the SE's. I get 2 out of them too.
It has been sugested to me that a 30 day rule R41 use should solve this for me.

    So??

    Thanks
    tp

A rule is always a good idea when trying to work out issues with equipment or technique. I think there are some folks here with specific experience with the R41. @Primotenore comes to mind perhaps. @Linuxguile as well? I can't help you with that razor but will just say technique trumps tools. Interesting to me that that one particular razor gives you trouble when you can use dozens of others with no problems.

I look forward to your journey and progress!
