So moved, do I hear a second?

 

i use and enjoy the white pre/post cream the most,love the scent, not a sensitive skin product guy either.the white is the most readily available,same for white soap tub and green tubs. never seen white tube soap,or anything red or blue on store shelves.i don t have the white,green or red balms..are they nice?,the only balms i have are the vetiver, and wood. which are excellent, the rest of my balms are nivea men balms.

 

bought a tweezerman brush one day,hairs fell out and the handle cracked, return it the next day for a refund.. junk..seconded.

 

It has been officially moved and seconded that Tweezerman brushes be hereby and forever banned from use in any Cartel sanctioned shave. All in favor aye - all opposed nay...........

Well........

Here I go, 30 days with the razor that seems to have it in for me, so to speak.




I will say that by having such good luck with all other DE/SE razors it is hard to give it up for a while. But if it makes me better at this thankless craft, I'm all in.


Week 1: Stay Focused

Superb setup! Are you going all in - keeping all aspects of the shave the same? Soap, brush etc.? I also think that it is important to change the blade after the same number of uses each time (I seem to recall you saying that 2 was good for you)!
I will join you for 30 days... I'll do a rule! We'll keep each other going! I'll use:

Schick G
Personna PTFE (I'll use for 5 shaves each, for this rule).
Bluebeard Doubloon (cheap little boar)
Palmolive (Soap)
Nivea Sensitive

No deviation... He says...

...Honest...

... I can do this... WE can do this!

 

So you R41 super users want to know if I gave up ????
Well, starting out it was rough, as expected, knowing this is a techincal issue, I needed to keep emotions out of it. The first small stroke did not go easy, hmmmmm. Ride the cap, lighten up on presure, watch the angle all going through my mind. Still could not tame this razor. So I did somthing as crazy as it sounds.
I closed my eyes......


I let my hand, the sound of the cuttings and the feel of the blade giude the razor.

It worked! Oh sh*t it worked!
So looking to see where The blade started then close my eyes and I self adjust.
This sounds so starwars sci-fi BS, but that is what I did.

The head shave was kinda scary to start with but it turned out OK.
I got one little blood spot that I did not notice till the second lather.

I did a 3 pass face with a 2 pass head shave.
No blood other than the small thing on the gord that washed away with water.
The next 29 days should be better than expected.

I’m not really a scale back kind of guy, Jason. My two speeds are 100mph or 0. (Don’t ask
me to convert this to kilometers for you. I am a stupid American who is stuck on our archaic system and unwilling to move into the future). So, yes, I understand the irony and the “do as I say, not as I do” hypocrisy. Like you, I was raised to be much more comfortable giving than receiving.

That's what is normaly the problem, but I only get 2 shaves out of one blade.
