G-3 Gillette Slim on setting 5
    Ladas (1)
    Simpson Chubby 2 Super
    Soap Commander Love
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum

I'm back to the good old Ladas blade after binning the Sputnik blade with two shaves on it. I'll use my remaining Sputniks in my Parker SRX, as I recall @Bama Samurai saying that blade brands don't matter as much in a shavette.

I performed two passes with the Slim on two days of growth this morning. It was a nice and easy, good, close shave. I've been on a Bay Rum kick these past few days. I'm enjoying the scent of the CC Bay Rum now.

Looking ahead to Thanksgiving week here in the US...
...Take time to count your many blessings
...Enjoy the time with loved ones
    ...If you're traveling, be safe
...Forget the pumpkin pie and have ice cream
    ...Happy Thanksgiving!

My Bride and I will spend a quiet Thanksgiving at home this year. We plan to try a new recipe called Orange Bourbon Crock Pot Turkey Breast along with some other goodies. The consumption of pumpkin pie in our household has already begun so that we don't find ourselves out of practice on Thanksgiving Day :) Honestly, pumpkin pie is my Bride's favorite...I'll enjoy my food on Thanksgiving Day, but I hope to remain reasonably controlled this week overall.

I've been cruising the shaving websites this weekend looking for early Black Friday deals, but I haven't purchased anything so far. Who knows what the next few days may bring!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

    Preach it brother Charlie! Amen!
(I was going to throw in something like “pie is of the devil”, but I actually like pumpkin and pecan pie, cnd didn’t want to be guilty of hypocrisy or condemn myself to an eternity of damnation.) Russian sourced cookies, on the other hand, are “Satan’s hell biscuits”. Consume at your own risk.

Sounds like a great plan for the holiday, Charlie! Our daughter and son in law are coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. We're skipping the turkey this year. Prime rib going on the smoker.

Wouldn’t it be awesome and ironic if that last post won the Stirling card?!

Very good advise for the week Charlie. I got an email from Supply Co saying their big sale starts tomorrow. Like you I’ve been good so far.

Great shave, Charlie! Pumpkin pie is my bride's favorite pie, so we never have it in our house. But, good idea to start practicing early.

    November 18 SOTD:

    Razor: Timeless Bronze OC
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Super Steel
    Brush: PAA The Green Ray
    Lather: Bain Armour Southern Gentleman
    Aftershave: PAA Dapper Doc (Sample)
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

Reading the posts about small artisans reminded me of this soap, which is honestly a decent performer. It has a bit of a cologne scent to it, although very light, and I just don't use it too often. But, it certainly shaves well enough and has decent post shave feel. I also broke out the Timeless for the first time in a while, and I was rewarded with a two pass DFS.

It has been a busy day, as my wife was on a trip with my oldest this weekend, so I had the three young ones. Getting them fed and ready for church is a two person or one mom job. Unfortunately, I had neither. Then, I had to finish getting the Christmas lights put up before the rain hit. That is also a two person job, and a slightly strained back from trying to handle a long extension ladder by myself is the reward. But, it has been a good day, and my wife and daughter are back, so all is well. I hope everyone has had a great day.

Great picture, Jim! The Timeless is a beauty. Curious if you have tried the .38 and how it compares to the OC?
