  1. Terrific picture, Joseph!
  2. At least we could solve the rising sea level crisis. Just get more water to flow over the edge, and the sea levels come down.

  3. Nice shave Joseph! With a good sousing that soap will be done in two or threes days!

  4. After buying the products I look forward to getting next year, I'm sure that I, too, will be saying "Wow.....too many soaps to rotate, but that isn't a bad problem to have".

  6. Just simply a wonderful photo.
  7. So is mine.

Once my omega boar broke in it became a favorite and I hope it lasts a long time.

Love this soap. Lathers really well and softens the skin .

  10. It actually kinda makes sense. No doubt it is one of her more plausible theorems for sure.

Genius. I got to figure out how to apply this to ice cream. Where is that Egyptian math book when you need it?

That, or the more likely answer is that they’re busy trying to figure out the cartel paperwork required in order to submit a complaint.

  11. Sounds like things are already going better. The next 27 days will rock.
That is the brush that inspired me to buy some resin. Awesome!
    ...and yes, great minds. :happy088:
Great combo and some awesome woodwork again, Jim.
Love that Cobra, Clint. How about a ranking of your Artist Club razors sometime?
Sounds like a great start to the day, Charlie!
Very nice combo and pic, John! The NEW LC is my favourite Gillette 3 piece.
Good description of the soap performance, Joseph. I never have the patience to use one for that long anymore.
Is the vintage Aqua Velva any different than modern versions?

  12. I have other Omegas that have become favourites as well, Patrick. This small one will be a travel brush when all is said and done. The knot seems to be quite a bit denser than a big '49.

  15. The B20 blades are the sharpest. In order of sharpness for modern blades I contend is Schick Chick, Personna, then B20. Then of course you can get into the vintage blades and down another rabbit hole you go.

Congrats on the Supply purchase! Looking forward to your thoughts.
  16. Thank you Jason.

I have three Artist Club Razors now and had two previous ones that I have sold.

Brass General is my favorite AC razor. With a Feather pro it feel a lot like a super charged New LC, smooth efficient and forgiving. With a Feather Super Pro it is aggressive with lots of blade feel. I find it very efficient. With the Super the General will bite if you don't pay attention.

Second choice is the Cobra Classic. Its one of my best looking razors. With a Feather Pro it is as efficient as the General with a Super. However, you can really dial it back. Also, I am not sure that the long term build quality is near as good as the General.

The OREN. With the 3 plates, it has the ability to adapt to the user. It shaves as well as the other two. However, let's face it, the OREN is a ugly razor.

I had a Batch 2 Mongoose. Exceptionally well made razor. Milder than the General or the Cobra. I sold it to buy the OneBlade and with the General is just didn't have a purpose.

I had a Batch 1 AlumiGoose. This was the first batch with a very limited run off around 50 razor heads and even less handles. A true beast of a razor. Easily the most aggressive razor I have tried. Made the R41 or Ikon Tech seem tame by comparison. Jared has the razor and uses it on days that he does not want to use a pain stick or straight.

Okay, you know how to peak my interest, that's for sure :happy088:! I had to go right to the General website, but found out that the razor isn't currently in production. Apparently a V2 is planned, but there is no indication that was a recent post.

  19. Congrats on your 10,000th post Neal! I do enjoy reading your posts along as the posts of many others. plus the plethora of razor pics, and the subtle and not so subtle enabling here at tsd. Keep up the good and kooky rambles, banter, or whatever else it may be construed as.

  20. I checked last week as well. There is a thread on DFS about the General V2. Apparently it has been put on hold as they develop a SS DE razor.
