I don't just come here for the shaving tips. I had a rough summer and this place and these people really helped keep my spirits up.

 

Thanks, Clint! TOBS makes an excellent shave cream. With all the artisan stuff out there to be tried, a reorder of a full tub tends to get pushed onto the back burner. Not that the stock of soap is running low to begin with.

 

I completely understand Bruce. I’ve made a dent in my soap inventory this year. However I did add two to my Christmas wish list for the ladies.

Of course not. @BaylorGator had me transported to the Mar-a-Lago Club across the street from his house. The food's good. We have bacon at every meal and fresh baked cookies every afternoon. There are no insects on the grounds, either. I saw the grounds crew spraying Clubman this morning. It ain't a bag gig for a former 30DC jester, so don't tell anybody. I probably need the seahabilitation anyway.


They have me holed up in one of the small villas, but I heard they really make a fuss over Randy when he shows up.

 

Thank you very much, Jason! Not that I'm ready to give up my natural hair brushes, if there was a synth that could get me to do it, it would be the SynBad knot.
I'll be sure to take & post a few shots of the bathroom sometime soon. I can't wait for this project to be over. Then again, it always seems that one project leads to another. So, are you ever really done?

There is photographic evidence of the cookies in question. They may be cartel propaganda but they were real and delicious.

 

The 30DC got even better under Neal's care. He's a far better and more witty writer than me, and truly has the ability and heart to reach people.

Great job Dear Leader! Thanks to this 30 Day thread I learned to shave with a straight razor and save lots of $$$. Not to mention the cookies.

I was there, I drank the cool aid and ates the cookies. I can testify to the reality of cookies.

 

Wednesday Shave

Had to wake up early for a meeting, well at least I got a free breakfast. In keeping with the no repeat theme I dug into the closet and found this Asylum Rx. A very nice shave, just a hair short of epic.

Brush: Omega boar
Soap: Crowne and Crane Tallow
AS: Fine AS, Speick ASB
Scent: Chanel Egoïst

tuesday night shave,brit 60s rocket, nacet ,and a new barrel finest badger brush from razorock.lovely brush ,we ll see how it breaks in..Paul H inspired soap,a and e grecian horse..awesome scent,lather,slick and trick.,2 pass combination shave, dfs, no drama.chiseled face gtb a/s to finish.am in line for the grecian horse a/s..,have a great week gents and have a great thanksgiving..gary

Well I have obviously been a very good boy when the gods hand me this shave. My, my my. The Toggle. A Rapira blade. Ok, so it's the Chrome that isn't my favorite but it's still a Rapira so it's still high on my list. Stirling mutton tallow Port au Prince, and a Jayaruh synthetic. I could easily use this setup for the entire month of Decadent December and be on theme. It makes me a bit nervous, two very fine setups in a row....what will tomorrow bring? I'll worry about that tomorrow.

As for tonight's very late night/early morning shave? Fantastic. No other word for it. Every time I use a Toggle I just have fun. And with this soap and blade combo, with the brush doing its job flawlessly, three passes to a BBS and quiet alum is not just the expected result, it's nearly guaranteed. And I got it tonight. Ahhhh life is good. Now to catch up on the last few hours and sit back and bask in the feel of a nearly perfect shave. No wonder we all like this so much.
