Its waiting on Rolls approval before it goes out. If not it might be up for sale. If not I will personally eat all of it by Tuesday:D And enjoy it! And video me eating it....piece my piece!

Working on a presentation right now.

Also getting everything I need from my old computer to my new one.

New computer is Vista. I'm thinking of turning the old one into a multiple boot system with XP, Ubuntu, and possibly Mandriva.

Jim... think there'd be any trouble having two versions of Linux on the same machine?

Afternoon all. Just got done watching the Indian Jones movie. I mean, cmon, aliens. Kind of a disappointment.

How do you do this? I'll probably be getting a new computer some day and wonder what is the best way to put stuff from the old PC onto the new.

nah, they each get their own partition, shouldn't be a problem, although I haven't tried it.......yet
probably going to wipe my desktop and run XP, Ubuntu, and Puppy sometime in the near future.
I want so bad to 3x boot my laptop Vista, XP, and Ubuntu, but I know if I do I'll never boot Vista again, and I'm trying to learn it and appreciate it, but I feel I'll be appreciating it much like I appreciate WinME...

I just got my laptop and made sure it had Vista but was [slash]downgraded[/slash] upgraded to XP Pro.

There are a bunch of programs you can use to send over all of your old setting, bookmarks, etc. to a new computer.

Personally, I just do it all manually. I'm pretty computer literate, so I use an external hard drive and just move over the things I want using that hard drive. Files, settings, bookmarks, etc. All programs are reinstalled using fresh installers that were downloaded or come off of a disc.

Ugh. Windows ME. Awful, awful stuff. I ended up using it for a couple of years on a desktop a few years back for some reason (was a 98SE machine originally, which I loved).

Vista is pretty awful, though seeing as they're discontinuing support for XP, I feel like I should acclimatize myself to it. I do miss my XP, though. It's not as buggy as I expected, which is quite good.

I'll let you know how the triple boot goes.

I love XP Pro. I do remember hating it when it first came out, though.

and thus part reason I continue to soldier on using Vista...it has been stable since SP1, I must admit. However, even with 2 GB or RAM, it still feels kinda slow, but there was a definite improvement for speed on my laptop w/ SP1.
I'm hoping Win7 is what WinV was supposed to be, everything I've heard has been extremely, and surprisingly, positive.

We were staging several blocks away from the main downtown action, so I never would have been close enough to. And he wasn't scheduled to arrive until 4pm or so, and I had already been relieved.

However, had I been close enough to, my answer would be an emphatic, "NO!"
