  1. Thank you, Bruce! I didn't get home last night until after my kids were in bed, so I didn't get any help from my daughter this time.

  5. The one and only time I used Clubman I went for a 200 mile motorcycle ride. I can’t fully describe how bad of an experience that was for me. I came home and my wife is angry about the scent lingering in the master bath. Not a good day at all. So being the bright guy I immediately dumped it down the drain. Oh very bad for Clint. If the wife was angry earlier she was on a war path now. She painted a vivid picture of what awaited me should I ever bring the stuff on the property again. I am in no hurry to find out if she was serious.

  13. the 60s flare tip rocket after 62 ish has the same head as a black handled super speed . but with the usual rocket flare tip handle..again a little heavier than the u.s. version.
  14. thank you..one of my favorite shavers, and quite abundant in canada it seems..

  15. that is the british bakelite tech handle, and canada/ england shared a lot of razors.i haven t seen a canadian made tech newer than the early 50s .they were all english imports after that..i think the u.s. bake lite handle had the gillette stamp on its end with made in u.s.a..
  16. Barbershop covers a wide range of scent blends. There's no one component in common except for "powder" and even that's up to interpretation.
In that case, walk a wide circle around the cologne counter in case perfume snipers are active. Although quite similar, Canoe is the next door neighbor to Clubman. Y'all would not enjoy.

Can't do that, Paul. Imagine the collapse of the Cookie, Ice Cream, Pumpkin Pie, and other assorted Cartels, Revolution Cadres, and assorted military sweets industrial complex manufactures that would go belly up. We need the conflict to continue, even escalate else thousands of workers would be on the bread line. Or soup line. Humm... Panera anyone?
  17. Did you get that Clubman remark from @wristwatchb always "commenting" about how I had to fend off one lady?(Actually there was no fending involved).
  18. I'm confused here-what did she want you to do with it?????

  19. Thanks for the confirmation on the British Bakelite Tech handle.

The US one, as you pointed out has a rounded bottom with the Gillette logo and a "Made In USA" stamp. It also has a bit of flare to it. Actually, there seem to be at least two similar variants (something that gave me a hard time finding one to fit in a wartime Bakelite case). The easiest way to tell them apart, IIRC, is that the writing on the more common one is raised while, on the (older?) less common one, it is indented.

The closest US analogue to the Canadian Tech I used today would probably be something like this one:

  20. Clubman was around in 1830. Was Canoe? Yes, if polar bears are green. :).
