    Thanks!
Yes, the only thing I change is the blades. I went from using a blade twice to only using it once. I get a better shave if I only use the blade once. I bought some more PAA AABR in case I use this tub up before I get to the 30 days.

Tear gas has been my weapon of choice to this point, but after seeing those water cannons lift those guys off the ground and flip them around like rag dolls, I’m reconsidering. I gotta get me one of them!

Outstanding! I think that the better your technique gets, the more quality shaves you'll get out of a blade! Or at least that's what the seasoned veterans say!

i have canadian post war techs with the non frosted gillette emblem cap and they are from the 47/8-50 era.my first frosted gillette emblem capped tech is 1951..all are fat handled.the non emblem caps are from around 46-7 era..after the triangular baseplates were changed out.. not an expert by any stretch, based on what i have and some razor site research.. i am sure there are lots of variations ..will post pics at some point as i have passed some along to new wet shavers.

Tear gas is good, water cannons are good also, but a shotgun is much better. :happy088:

Haven’t been on the thread in a few days, but have had a few shaves:

    NOvember 23rd Travel Shave
    Schick I1 w Personna Twins
    Valobra Fougere
    Semogue Boar
    Thayers
    Nivea Balm
    3EA0994B-E31F-4BDA-9A99-6344315E720E.jpeg
I ended up having to take a day off work yesterday as my wife had an appointment out of town and I needed to be there with her. The good news is that we have good friends close to where we were and were able to spend the night there.
This soap is another generous PIF from @Screwtape. I need to spend some more time with it, but on first use I got a very nice lather with it. I think I’ll need to load more product next time. I hadn’t used the razor since the summer, but I get excellent two pass shaves with it and the Personna Twins. Good stuff. The Nivea balm is a leftover from my cart/early wetshaving days. It is what it is.

    NOvember 24th
    Gillette ‘Bostonian’ w Astra SP
    Fine L’Orange Noir SS
    Omega ‘49/Walnut
    Thayers
    P&G Old Spice

Back home this afternoon and just finished a nice shave. Next up for No Repeat November was this beautiful New Improved and this software. I have come to really enjoy this Fine soap. It took me a little while to warm up to it, both for scent and performance, but now I count it as a fave. Loaded a fresh Astra and had 3 full passes. My neck is a little raw, actually. I am completely smooth, but a little irritated.
I spent some time on the case of this razor. It was well used. I say well used not as a negative, but rather that someone took great care with this razor and case for a long time. The silver is worn on a few spots, right where your left thumb needs to go to hold the case while you push the latch button with your right. It is also worn right where your right thumb would rest on top. The owner of this razor took great care to put this razor away very regularly. Enough that he wore a spot. He didn’t just mere put it in the opened case. The felt is in great shape considering how often this case must have been opened and closed. The razor has some plating loss only on the top cap. Right where you would get it from shaving with it regularly. The handle and teeth are in magnificent condition. The Blade Case shined up very well, too. This razor was well cared for.

Have a great rest of the weekend, all!

That Bostonian cleaned up nicely. Interesting how the wear marks on the case are only on the spots where a careful person would handle it. You're right that that does say a lot about the original owner.
