I’ve found that the smiling blades are somewhat more difficult to cut yourself with, but are less forgiving on too much pressure. And are far easier to use on the neck and jawline

This was not related to the razor, it was just an unusual momentary lapse of concentration. The big smile took a little getting used to but after that is makes shaving my neck a breeze. The only negative is that it is tricky to hone.

Quite the bowl of Mitchell's lather, Brian! Very cool vintage straight, too!

    The shave Saturday morning:

    Supply
    APS SynBad
    Dapper Dragon Terre Du Dragon
    Stirling Baker Street AS

This is one of the many soaps sent by Jared @PickledNorthern last year. In his notes he indicated that this one can be finicky. Not the case this morning…nice lather that was very slick. It did take a good deal of water to dial it in, but once it was there…very nice. Would I buy a full puck? Dunno…probably not. While the performance is good, and the scent is enjoyable, it lacks the “comeback sauce”, as Randy @BaylorGator calls it.

Wonderful three-passer and a smooth face.

    The shave Sunday morning:
Basically the same setup. Swap out the soap to Hendrix Classics sample (razor & soap inspired by Jim @jluc ). Change the blade in the injector to a Schick Proline B-20

There’s nothing wrong with the Supply blades (Personna). It sure does seem that the Schick bumps up the sharpness a notch, though. Between the slick Hendrix lather and the new Schick blade, it was smooth sailing. Maybe too smooth… Shaving a bit faster than normal, and getting lazy, I was using residual slickness for touch ups. “No problem”, I thought. The razor was still gliding easily. Then a handful of weepers appeared. Eh, no biggie. Wasn’t the first time, won’t be the last. Still ended up with a very smooth face. Surprisingly, no irritation!

The plan is to use the same razor & blade tomorrow, and maybe pay more attention (and not be so lazy).

Enjoy what’s left of the weekend, fellas!

Great reports and photos Bruce. My Supply razor and Proline blades have made it to Atlanta.

Are you manually loading the Prolines into the razor or cross loading into a magazine with a key?

Thanks, Clint! You'll be shaving with it very soon!
I only loaded one blade into a magazine with a key, just to try it. Not tough at all. But, it's pretty easy to manually load a blade into the Supply as well.

Being able to manual load the blade into the Supply was one of the features I liked. Looking forward to giving the razor a try.

That's an uptown setup, Bruce! It's gonna look nice sitting in that newly renovated bathroom! Congrats on the smooth shave! Sorry about the weepers, though. Sometime they happen, but it appears they were a non-issue for you this time around. Have another go at it tomorrow. ;)

The more curved the smile the harder it is to hone.

It's easier to load from a magazine, but not difficult to manually load. Just make sure to close your drain when you remove the screw! ;)
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Supply. It's a little departure from what you normally use.

Thank you, Charlie! I hope I don't wear the setup out before the bathroom is done! :D
Weepers happen. Especially when you go askin' for it!

I really have somewhat low expectations. Over the years, I have tried three different Schick Injectors, G, I and J. I have given 2 away and traded the other. Since many of the injector guys don't care for the Supply, I am hoping this might be the charm for me. I still need to decide if I use it right away or put it back for Christmas.
