    Thanks Andrew. Believe it or not I’m not an expert on blade geometry. For example, I struggle identifying near wedge blades vs 1/4 hollow. I’m thinking this one could be near wedge. The grind is very shallow.

    Soap Smooth Frozen Cranberry AS

    Happy Monday morning gentlemen. In an effort to show some solidarity to Joseph @Primotenore , I decided to use XXX this morning as well. Soused and heavily loaded I got a scuttle full of that wonderful Italian, citrus cologne scented, lather in no time. As Joseph said, there is nothing wrong with RazoRock soaps and a new wet shaver could certainly do worse. Are they as good as some of the better artisans, no. Are they better then a lot of the stuff you can buy on Amazon, absolutely. The XXX made a plenty slick lather for my MJ-90 loaded with a Derby Professional to do its work in comfortable fashion. Thee passes got me a nice DFS shave out of a blade that was past its prime. I finished with a splash of the Soap Smooth Frozen Cranberry AS that has a surprising big menthol kick to it.
