So I am looking to try some new blades. What do yall recomend?
I have tried feathers (current fave)
derbys
mekurs
and wilksons

 

Gillette 7 O'Clock PermaSharp or Sharp Edges.

 

The only problem one has when each of the teams a person is pulling for wins their respective divisions, is which one to pull for in the big game...
on the one hand...I've, for the most part, always been a Steelers fan.
yet, I'm also a sucker for the Cinderella team, and Kurt Warner is easy enough to root for anyway. But so is Big Ben. But the Cardinals made it! But I like Pittsburg! Well, AZ is further south...but Bradshaw was a Steeler...UGGGH!!
at least I can be happy whoever wins, right?
last time I had this dilemma was Broncos vs. Packers (98?)

 

Big Ben and the Steelers won a Superbowl three years ago... let Kurt and the Cards have this one... let 'em win one for the Shepper!

 

yeah, since the outcome is up to me....happy102

seriously, I can go either way with this one, and just look forward to a good game. I feel Steelers are going to be too much for the Cards....however, I thought that about the Cards with Philly.....and Carolina....and Atlanta....and Dallas.....maybe it's density - uh, err, destiny!

Woke up with my stomach doing some weird dance Ouch! I assume nobody is up so I am going to attempt to go back to bed. Trying to save $$$ so we keep the thermostat at 63 at night so its pretty chilly in the house. See ya'll later in the morning.

Shep, I am glad someone finally decided to see the light and strop a blade. I promise that you will get at least two or three more shaves out of a blade than you normally do.

JoAnna, what did I do now?

Jen, I got the teas. Now, what is up with the temperature and times you have written on the bags?

Oh yeah, I did not get the property I was after. I reckon I just cannot stomach the rediculous prices that land goes for these days. I have another parcel of property not too far from the one I was looking at already. I paid a third of the price for it ten years ago than what this other property went for Saturday.

 

Morning everyone. No shave this morning, too tired. I had towing dispatch last night and the Highway patrol thought it would be fun to keep me awake.

 

I am back up now. Stomach calmed down. Must have been the huge plate of Spicy as hell sausage and pasta. Well, anyways....good morning! I see JoAnna was up early this morning also

I have to work for a few hours today but thats not too bad...honestly I wish I could work for more but I take what I get.

Rolls....still not stropping DE blades b/c I get at least 8-10 shaves per blade as is but still think its cool.

SOTD...looking like? TOBS Eton College and LaToja splash(never tried but smells yummy)

Mornin' fellow loons. I can't for the life of me see how anybody gets 8 or 10 shaves out of one blade unless your whiskers are like baby fuzz or something! Seriously, if it works for you more power. Even with blade stropping I don't expect to get more than four.

Well, as expected the wifey got a little po'd about the new cabinet, but when I told her the great price I got she settled a bit. Also no mention of the towel rack. I think she was distracted by all the unpacking and it hasn't hit her yet. Her mother is with us for a week or so, and that will help to further distract. I could yet get out of this w/ my skin.

I'm working days this pay period so will be around a bit earlier. Anybody else seeing this weird double post thing this a.m.? Probly to do w/ all the site maintenance. Either that or I have double vision in which case I should go home sick......

Well that's odd. Of course I'm using the blue background and there was some mention yesterday there are differences based on the "skin" one is using. But I'm seeing a double post from everybody across all the threads today. <shrug>

 

Must be the blue skin. I use the other skin and haven't seen anything. Have you been drinking the velva again?

 

Just a nip to keep the cold out. Actually it's fairly warm here this a.m. Cool but not cold like it was last week. None of which compares to what you are dealing w/ of course. It's all relative.

 

Yep. Switched over the the yellow and brown and the double posts disappeared. I like the blue better on the eyes but will stick w/ this until it's all worked out.
