Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Personna Ultra Chrome
    Razor: Schick M1 adjustable
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Route 66 Cavendish
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave

Terrific Tobacco Tuesday shave this morning. I found this sample of Route 66 hiding in the back of my stuff a couple of weeks ago. Moved it to a container and was instantly reminded why it had such a following on here a couple of years ago. Slick, beautiful lather with excellent post-shave feel. I ended up PIFing or trading away my tubs of Route 66 but am glad to be reintroduced through this sample. Always a treat to finish off with the Jeeves splash. All came together quite well for an easy shave.

    Have a great day!

    November 27th
    Razor: Blackland Dart
    Blade: Derby Extra (1)
    Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Hendrix Classics & Co.
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: Fine Platinum

    Good morning!

I decided to get back on my Blackland focus to finish out the month. A month long focus with the Dart is on the to do list for 2019.

Excellent shave to start the day. Three pass BBS with barely a tingle from the alum on my neck. The blade feel of the Dart makes it feel like my least forgiving razor but if I recall correctly it has only drawn blood once. That was on a bad set down well below hairline on my neck. Total user error.

I finished off the Hendrix Classics & Co. samples this morning. Fifteen three pass shaves and none wanting for more lather. Great soap! Shout out to @Pete123. Thank you for the opportunity to try your product!

I have a couple of small Captain's Choice samples, a soap and a cream, which should easily get me through the month.

    Have a great Tuesday! [IMG]

Great B&W photo Perry. Route 66 is really a top notch soap and used to be very popular. She was always on the site as well. Not sure really what happened.

Supply V2 with No 3 Plate
    Personna
    Rudy Vey with Shavemac Finest
    AOS Sandalwood
    Fine Santal Absolut Aftershave

The Supply SE arrived yesterday. Given my total lack of patience, I had to give it a try as soon as possible. My original plan was to start with the No 2 plate but after reading reviews online, I decided to give the No 3 a try first. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave. The angle of the Supply SE is certainly different than Schick Injectors or Gem razors. Maybe more like the angle on the Cobra Classic. Also there seems to be a narrow operating range of acceptable angles as well. I found the 3 pass shave to be relatively smooth and efficient. After touch ups along my jawline and neck I ended up with my normal morning results. I didn't find the Personna blades to be overly sharp and will try some Prolines and Chinese Schick blades out as well. Overall I would say the first outing was a success and I can see the results getting better with practice.

    Good morning, Clint @clint64 !
To answer your question from last evening (and satisfy my curiosity), I just counted my soaps. 18 right now, counting the tube of C.O. Bigelow & Arko stick. Didn't bother counting samples, but there's a bunch.

OK, I know it's not Decadent December yet, but apparently it is at my house. Having just completed my dad's handle with a two band thater, my brush was set. For some reason, I gravitated to Grooming Dept Coattails this morning, which is, bar-none, the best soap in my stable. Whipping it up in the @jtspartan drydock is a given, so I decided that this shave deserved a razor that played in the majors with these heavy hitters, so I picked up my custom Bismarck with scales made by @Pete123, and finished off the shave with a little with Chatillon Lux Delor De Treget. If it gets more decadent than this, I'm not sure how. So apparently my theme today is no-no skipping ahead November.
