I am terrible at scent descriptions. Soap Commander says it's a blend of bergamot, orange, basil leaf, oakmoss, patchouli, aromatic spices, and a hint of honey and tobacco. I don't pick up any of the citrus notes mentioned there. To me it's a light, clean fragrance. Not cologne and not powdery.

Terrific photo, Clint! Glad you find a better angle today. It's certainly different than other injectors.

Nice photos and shaves, Jim and Jim!

Oh yes. For me the Proline is sharper and smoother. The Personna felt rough and not nearly as sharp. I thought I had messed up the blade and even inserted a new one mid shave with the same results. However other than Gem blades I have used only Feather blades in my SE and DE razors for 3 years. The Proline feels more like what I am accustomed to using.

SC is a good soap, but probably not one I'll buy again. I get a more yogurt-like lather from tallow-based soaps, which I prefer. Maybe I just need to spend more time and load more heavily when using vegan soaps.

Load a lot and incorporate a good bit of water slowly. I get incredible lather from Soap Commander. Slick and bountiful.

Thank you Perry. I really like the style and weight of the Supply SE. I think this is one razor that requires a little time to dial in the angle.

Excellent, A can't go wrong setup!
Very nice Rick! How was the post shave feel of the Proraso splash ?
Fantastic setup, Perry! I've been curious about the SC splashes, but they carry a premium price tag and I dont have any of their main lineup soap scents.
    Beautiful shot, Clint!
WOW, very nice Jim! Still went for three passes with the Dart and a Feather ?!?!?
    Cool photo, Jim!
    Nice Shave, Gary!

I used 3 containers of SC. It’s a great product in general but an excellent vegan soap. I don’t see a repurchase in the foreseeable future. I have too many soaps now and more different ones I want to try.

I'm still hangin' in there with the same set up. Results are slightly better when I complete a traditional WTG first pass before the ATG second pass. I can get away with more XTG and ATG strokes on the first pass using my Russian blades, but the Feather blade seems to be less tolerant. I hope to get my groove back with Feather blades over the next week or so.

I received some great news from my doc yesterday. BP was 108/78, which is down from 142/86 when I started my new lifestyle this summer. I'm waiting on the blood work test results, hoping to see a reduction in my LDL cholesterol. The weight continues to come off slowly. My doc wants me to target 210 lbs (which translates to 205 lbs on my home scale), and hang out there for awhile to see how I feel. I'm 28 lbs from my goal...with three more pairs of pants set for donation. I'm ordering a leather punch for my belts today. :) If things continue as they have, I'll reach my goal sometime this spring. No hurry, though. I want to do it safely and keep reinforcing good eating and exercising habits. I can't begin to tell you all how much better I feel. Anytime I'm tempted to return to my bad habits, I think about what it was like to carry all that extra weight compared to how I feel now. If we have a 2019 meetup, I'll make an exception for the traditional BBQ rib dinner. :)

Lots of activity on the house...electricians are wrapping up, HVAC installation and brickwork are underway, and the low voltage wiring installation started yesterday. It's been awhile since we've had such a wintry November. We're beginning to see a small break in the weather, and hopefully it will hang around for awhile.

    Have a great hump day!

I'm glad you reminded us(me)of the meaning of "decadent" for December. As an intro to my December focus(and I'll be going into this with more detail on Dec 1), I'm going to be trying to get into a position of "flipping" some soaps(to make room for others I plan to buy in 2019)but combining that with some decadency.
