Instead of displaying new brushes and restorations in separate threads, I'll just add them here. Yep, got the idea from @Enrico and his thread. I haven't made any new ones for a while until I came up with this one today. I wasn't totally sure of what shape to do, but I started at the top, with the ferrule, and just continued on until I ended up with this one. I then gave it a slight textured finish and painted it a medium brown. While it looked OK, it wasn't for me and I then proceeded to give it a mottled appearance. It was the first time I ever used that idea, even in any of my art work. I used a combination of browns, tans, yellow and black. A Tuxedo knot of 24mm was used for the pic. With the textured finish, it just might be something I can build on, hopefully.........................
A while ago, @Jrdelgado sent me this Century #4 boar brush. The knot was brittle so I removed it.......... The only snag I had was that it had a metal insert that kept spinning while removing the knot with my rotary tool. It slowed me down some, but not a bad problem. Here it is dry fitted with a 24mm Tuxedo knot and letters filled in with black paint..........
Something I came up with because I had nothing to do. Made for a 24mm knot and dry fitted a tuxedo knot for the pic...........
