I, too, also enjoy the brown color scheme.

I has some of those Bic blades but sold them off before trying them. I got them in a sampler pack and then discovered feathers so I didn't try them.

I watched The World's Fastest Indian yesterday. Truly awesome and inspiring movie. Though Hopkins probably has no business playing a Kiwi I really enjoyed it.

 

That movie has been on showtime for the last 3 months but I never watched it. I will have to record it next time it is on.

 

I am back! Getting a bunch of packages ready to ship out. My last b/s/t starter set is looking like it will be a helluva lot better piecing it out. Hate the bay and PayPal but a mans got to do what a mans got to do! I have a cool shave soap thread coming up later. A very vintage soap I got and about to toss wound up being a true gem! BOLO!

I look forward to the thread Shawn. I just finished shaving with that QED (late start I guess) I like it, but I got a hint of burn at the end. More info in my SoS

the color scheme on new is nice looking and the posts are easy to read. its the stuff at the bottom of the screen, like next thread that should not be black colored on top of brown.

 

I have never used any of the QED soaps or creams, are they any good. I love his brushes, though

 

I only have about 4 shaves with the lime and one with the sandalwood, but here are my first impressions:

The scents are amazing. Very strong scents, which I love.
The lather is decent. Performs very well, it is very slick, and moisturizes OK, but I tend to get thin lather for some reason, it takes quite a bit more work for me to get the thick lather I enjoy than with TSD. Overall, very nice soaps.

 

It burned like hell for me so you are already at an advantage! Did the smell take over your bathroom? Try the Tam Dao?

What's up everyone. Just getting into work. Snowing right now, not much accumulation. I thought it was only supposed to be flurries off and on, but it's coming down much harder than that.... :mad:

 

didn't try the tam dao yet, but yeah, the scent took over. I liked that about it though. I love strong scents. I can't imagine how strong it must have been when you melted it.

 

I think I will pass on that soap. I have found that I don't do well when the lather is thin. TSD and Tabac give me rich lather and I like it better. I found that I would get thin lather from other soaps and I thought they performed well. I think I was talking myself into liking them because I had spent the money and wanted to like them. After about shave 5 my face told me the real truth. I have found this to be the case with Mama Bears, TGQ and Honeybee Soaps.
