Nice picture and shave, Brian! I really like the scent of Stirling Dunshire.

It's not a big deal, Paul. I don't think the county jail has WiFi. @wchnu sends his greetings...

Thanks Andrew. Sometimes you just can’t accept a mediocre shave when you have the tools at hand to make it exceptional.

I agree it's not a good thing. I need to just get back in the routine of eating healthy and avoiding after dinner stress eating. That would be a big help to my overall health.

Nice razor Randy. Those big blades can ensure you pay good attention really quick, been guilty of that myself a few times.

I should mention this also. We have a wellness screening that we must complete once a year to avoid an additional assessment on our insurance. They check blood pressure, BMI (which is dumb), blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, etc. Well my cholesterol number was 218. It's been as high as 238 and as low as 180 in the past six or seven years. So I wanted to try some interventions to bring that down. That's where the almonds and cashews and prunes have come into play. Those are apparently good snacks for lowering cholesterol, but they have other benefits as well. The key is to eat them very sparingly.

My brother has fairly high cholesterol despite being fit and exercising regularly. His diet is also very good. It unfortunately runs in our genes. My maternal grandfather had high blood pressure and cholesterol despite being fit and healthy. He lived to be 94 but had to take medication.

No doctors orders or anything.....I just wanted to experiment and see if better eating could bring those numbers back in line.

Hopefully I'm not boring anyone or causing eye rolls for too much info!

I saw a lot of the Omega boars on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Paul. You can often find an Omega 10049 for $10 or less if you look around. I have the Omega 10098 knot in a Jayaruh handle, and I love using it. It takes awhile to deodorize (thru repeated lathering) and break in (thru repeated use) the knot. After that, you will have a wonderful brush.

I had just started the first pass, so it was barely started. Since I shave at night when it’s more quiet and have the time to enjoy the shave, it makes it a lot easier to take short amount of time to refresh the edge.

So with my diet and exercise changes over the past four months, my BP dropped down well within the normal range, and this is my blood work...

You've made fantastic progress. You're my new poster child for the 30 Day Rule. Wanna learn to shave? Wanna get great shaves? Wanna be one of the cool kids? Just do what Terry did!

Very nice Charlie!! Your Triglycerides look "slightly better " than mine the last time I had bloodwork done. Well, all your numbers look "slightly better". My "trigs" were 667 back in June. Next appointment is next Thursday so we'll see if I've made any progress there. You've definitely been on a great run of improving your health. Great shaves, great health. Might become a new motto around here.

Love to see that brush Charlie, any pics?

Gillette Tech is a winner in my opinion.

    Very nice John

    Wow, look at that lather!

My 10049 was one of my first brushes 11 months ago, it's now well broke in and one of my favorite brushes.

I already sent Ivan on the private jet to Lousiana to alert him. That's news we need to communicate person to person.

    Congratulations, Charlie!

I checked the razor and it was as I remembered: apart from the adjustment dial, the only marking is the word PAL on the bottom of the head.
