    NCoxSTL AAACK!

Please, comrades, your kind attention to the following official Cartel announcement.

    Big Brother Ingsoc.jpg
Accounting and compliance has informed your faithful Czar that we are potentially on the cusp of a record month here at the 30DC. Earlier this month we passed the post count total for all of last year, but we are looking ahead to the end of the month and see the potential for this to be the busiest month in our history.

Because of this potential, HQ has put another $25 Stirling gift card up for grabs. However, we're going to handle this one differently. Rather than award it to the one who achieves the record post, we will offer it as a quick PIF based on the following qualifications............must have actively posted in this thread during November, AND must "like" this post. Everyone who qualifies will be entered into the drawing and the winner will be chosen at random.org . In the event we do not get to the record the prize will not be awarded. So.........in a nutshell just to make sure everyone understands (yes, I know how some of you "learn").........

    $25 Stirling Gift Card
    30DC Participants eligible
    Must "like" this post
Awarded by random drawing IF we break the previous record for most posts in a single month.

Thanks again for a really fantastic month you all!!

You may now return to staring at shiny shaving gear.

Course the jail would also be a tough place for him to do his daily shave commentary-unless radio station WCHNU is a mobile office that can fit inside the cell.

It'll take me a looong time to order my next Jeeves. I'm now grandfathering the 7 oz size.(Bay Rum).

    Thursday morning November 29

Gillette blackhandled SuperSpeed dated M1 (1967) / Sharp Star (2)
    Jason's non-30DC LE cypress badger
    Hendrix Classics Barbershop soap
    Alum and Lucky Tiger

Today was another razor I have never previously used. Loaded with a tested Sharp Star blade, it shaved me smoothly and efficiently - just as I expected from a vintage Gillette TTO. All the other elements of the shave are reliable old friends to me now. Two passes to an error-free DFS, followed by a nice orange -scented finish from the Lucky Tiger.

    Thank you, Gentlemen.
Gary- I've amassed a number of Jeeves scents. I started with buying Apothecary, which is discontinued. Sort of aquatic, minty. Very lightly scented. Then bought Tobacco/Bay in a Splash. Liquid awesomeness. Then got a very large sample of Key Lime from @Drygulch last Xmas. Quite nice. Then bought the 30DC meetup 'Blood on Steel' SS and AS this summer. Also very nice. Then got this Cherry Blossom from John last month. Somehow I've acquired a large Jeeves collection...

Looking forward to your decision on whether or not you'll be keeping the razor! You seem to have some excellent razors in your stable to compare it to!

Techs are absolutely phenomenal. Full stop. I prefer my EFBT to my Aluminium Tech, but they are both excellent shavers!

Incredibly generous! What a corner of the interwebz this thread is! :bounce017:

BTW I believe Apothecary is now Mountain Rain.

Great setup John. I was thinking of getting the Hendrix soap and was curious about the scent.

I was really hoping to finish out my November focus of Blackland razors with the Sabre. Doesn't look like it's going to happen. It's been a couple of days since any tracking updates. The USPS is probably slammed with Black Friday and Cyber Monday shipments. Maybe I'll be able to start Decadent December with a new razor, that would be cool too.

Glad to hear the Proline blades are working out. I liked 3 passes with the #2, or 2 passes with the #3, as confusing as that sounds.
Great write up. I've said it a bunch of times on here, there is a very good reason the Tech design lasted for 40 years- it works.
3rd quarter of 1969? Just like me...:)
'Great minds' on the Red Tip today, Brian!
Love the Cypress! @RyX sent some seriously cool wood.
So, John, just how many more razors do you have yet to pull out of the mystery 'stash? You are entering Serious Collector range with your collection of vintage beauties.
Didn't Conservatory become Mountain Rain? I could be wrong. Know that Turkish Bath is now Barbershop, and Velvet Jacket is now Tobacco/Bay. There was also a Private Study- not sure if that is one of the others now- Key Lime or Bay Rum etc.
