It looks like Uri accompanied Ivan per standard Cartel protocol. Good idea to have backup when traveling to those parts...

Apples and oranges, Paul. Boar bristle tends to be stiff and exfoliates, though it does soften with repeated use. Pigs being domesticated and tasty are plentiful leading to cheap prices for brush knots. Badger hair is softer to start, comes from ill tempered beasties, and as far as I know are only eaten by Chinese badger herders, and some British folks. The choice of a quality badger brush leads to higher prices. Boar knots are cheaper and if well made - last just as long, getting badger like softness with lots of use.
Duck Season? Google watches what you type, so you may start seeing more badger brushes on sale now.

I'm glad you liked it Jason! Don't know how easy it is to turn, but it does finish well. Love the swirls in the grain.

It's hard to beat a Super Speed, and the cypress wood grain on the brush handle is just beautiful, John.

    NOVember Mission Completed

    Williams Shave Soap
    The King badger by @Vlasta
    Osaka Suribachi bowl
    Gillette Blue Tip, Astra SP
    Generic Dollar Store Blue AS
SOTD 11292018 Williams SS.gif Throwing a bone to Fuzzy @wchnu - lathered up with Modern Williams. I used a wet brush, but didn't really bloom it. Just kept loading until the knot had plenty of soap. Very little time in the bowl and the lather served. Visited with my parents earlier today and retook possession of several razors I'd sent his way. He asked about trying a DE so I brought him the two Krona he'd given to me, a Weishi, a Gillette Knack, and the Blue Tip. Left him a selection of blades and the Krona he liked. So with this being my last every other day shave of the month, I was able to use a different soap, brush, razor, & AS each shave. The Blue tip is supposed to be a mild razor, smaller gap? That gives it a smaller effective correct angle of attack. Easy to find, kept it on angle, and got a smooth close reduction. It did take what amounted to a five pass shave but with no errors and no razor burn the Blue Juice went on comfortably.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
